Hotel du Vin & Bistro
Ate here as a treat in Feb 2010. Was very swanky indeed and full of ladies that lunch! Great to watch. We were given a menu with very highly priced food although we knew it wouldnt be cheap. I had duck which was outstanding. My partner ate the fish and was equally impressed. At only a main course each and two bottles of wine it came to about £90....shocking. It wasnt until afterwards we realised there was a set priced (much cheaper) lunch! The waitress should have offered us this!!!!!! Disappointing. However I will return for the set lunch as this is one of Brightons most stunning restaurants for decor and ambience.

Woodies Diner
Ate here in Feb 2010. Waiter was attentive however a bit in your face friendly (enough already!). Music was WAY TOO LOUD. The helpings were huge, but of average quality. The chips tasted of fish?! Nice apple soda though! Over priced for sure. But if you are one of Hoves yummy mummies you will enjoy! Very child friendly.

La Fourchette
Ate here for lunch yesterday as I have always wanted to go. We went for the set lunch, selection of meats / mussels then we both ate the steak & mash. The steak was melt in your mouth and the mash!!!! Ohhhh dreamy creamy heaven. The staff were lovely, very attentive and it was obvious that the place had regulars due to the amount of genuine hand shaking / kissing of both cheeks to diners. Even escorting an old lady to her waiting taxi. Lovely to see. Will return for romantic dinner soon!
