Pompoko
small eatery with typical cheap chinese cooking of raw onions, rapeseed oil, sugar, vinegar, MSG, law grade tasteless rice and noodles. Always packed with students and bargain food lovers.

In Vino Veritas
a pretentious place with extensive list of mediocre but highly priced vines. cooking was average . portions are small. service personnel are eiher rude or fakely sweet when they were serving cava in the absence of champagne as nobody would notice the difference. overall - French in its worst, a rip off.

English's of Brighton
I have been coming to this bar for 10 years and it is the right kind of place for some oysters and champagne. The fish was always fresh and never overcooked. The food is generally overpriced and the cooking is average there but it did not stop me coming back to enjoy the comfort of familiar atmosphere.

VBites
Have been there several times for a healthy meal and organic vine. They have an extensive menu and drinks list. The portions are enormous which is right for me and also made great value for the money.
They are supposed to serve fresh juce but the waiting staff did not know much about it. Consequently it was quite difficult to get fresh juce from them. The waiting staff (both the girl and the boy) are very sweet but completely useless.
