Food for Friends
Food for Friends is the kind of place where you want to celebrate life. The interior feels fresh and tranquil and in my carnivorous opinion the food is incredible - loaded with delicate flavours and just oh-so-satisfying. It's always packed, which says a lot, and once I walked past and saw some people having their very pretty wedding reception there. The right place to go for a slow, boozy lunch, especially if you're in the mood for (stunningly prepared) veg dishes.

Sevendials Restaurant
Seven Dials is a comfy, classy restaurant and I'm so glad it's in our neighbourhood. Possibly my favourite Sunday lunch spot in Brighton. The roasts are perfect, meaty, juicy and always served with the most flavoursome vegetables. It has a warm, buzzy atmosphere - feels like the kind of place you'd find in New York or Brooklyn. They always seem to serve a little pre-meal 'amuse bouche' of yummy warm gazpacho and, as I've said, the general quality of food is top notch.

Blenio Bistro
My husband and I are new-ish to Brighton but we've squeezed in quite a few meals at Blenio already. It's a real find! Wonderful for lunch - their menu is compact yet varied and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff are really friendly and lovely and the decor is fresh and inspiring. I highly recommend their Sunday lunches.

The Chilli Pickle
The Chilli Pickle is my favourite restaurant in Brighton. Food is delicious, aromatic, imaginative and beautifully presented and the decor is tasteful and laid back. My fave starter is probably the Momos (Nepalese beef dumplings) and for main the prawn masala. Wish I could eat here every night - it really is quite special with a cosy, uplifting atmosphere.
