Corleone review by Linda Schillo
I thought my friends (4 ladies) were in for a treat at Corleone's in Parma. (Italian food is always a treat.) We went for lunch and I for one was sadly disappointed. We were given good ice water and it all went downhill from there. We were never offered beverages and stayed with the ice water. Even though it was lunch, I thought the Italian dishes were small. I am a big salad fan so I had a bowl??? of Italian Wedding soup. They had no cups. Good thing too, although the soup was delicious, it was not even the equivalent of a cup in other restaurants. I am a salad lover and got a "thing" which consisted of a few tomato slices, 6 tiny slices of mozzarella, 3 thin strips of pimento (it looked like pimento) and capers (seemed like about 6 tiny peas.) The real "rub" came when we inquired about desserts. 4 (count-em) cheesecakes, no ice cream or spumoni, no other Italian desserts. My friend did order cannoli to go and the waitress came back and informed us they didn't have the ingredients to make them!
I for one, will never return. This is the second time a group of friends were treated miserably. A group of about 14 high school friends go to eat and Corleone's was very rude and wanted money in advance!
