Zafferelli's

Reading a review below, if the squid ink risotto is such a hard dish to make, why do they make such a mess of cooking a steak? my friend and i both ordered the steak here (ordered rare) and we were served cheap, old steak, completely cremated. In addition to this it was it was served way after the other people were with. This is about the third bad experience I've had here lately, I kept coming back because this place used to be good. It has gone way downhill.

8 of us went to Zafferelli's early evening and had the set menu which has two courses for an amazing £7.95, The food was excellent, the service was excellent and the wine was excellent. One of my friends could not believe should could order two courses so cheaply with a main course being mussels!! Would recommend, I will be going back soon for my birthday!

My boyfriend took me here to eat a few weeks ago. The service was awful. There was teo birthday celebrations around our table and the customers were terribly loud and obnoxious and the waiters just let them get on with it! and the waiter even popped a party popper streamer 'thing' over our main meal! my boyfriend had to pick confetti out of his food!!! He was also extreamly irritating, and would try and crack jokes whilst I was trying to have a romantic meal. Food was nothing to rave about either, my steak came with no sauce! what kind of steak has no sauce?!
