I will never step foot in this restaurant ever again. Over the last few years the quality of food and service has plummeted. Twice I have had bad fish in there and twice I was shown what I can only describe as contempt by the waiting staff for bothering them with my problem. An apology was tough enough to extract let alone a replacement meal. the service in general now is sloppy with a get them in get them out approach. This used to be a fairly good place, with smiling, friendly service, perfectly decent food and average prices. Unfortunately now it is a disaster.

Will definitely go back there again! Food was fantastic, a v. comprehensive menu unlike some other Italian restaurants. Recommended!

I found La Piazza to have definetly gone downhill over the years. Staff are friendly until there is a problem. If it gets about 3/4 full its havvock. We waited an whole hour before even our starters arrived, and they only came because we thretened to leave. The food we did get was fowl, the pate looked like it had just been dumped on a plate and was served with burnt cold toast. Used to be a nice place to go, but I am definetly not going back again

Always excellent. The homemade cassata ice cream and steaks are splendid.

We have been to this restaurant twice now, and I would recommend that you book for earky in the evening as the staff do get a bit behind once the place fills up and gets busy. However, the food is great quality - the white bait for strters is cooked perfectly, and for mains I highly recommend the lamb cooked with honey & peppercorns... Staff are friendly, kids seemed to be welcomed okay, and we even got a free shot of sambuca after we had eaten - result!

La Piazza never fails to disappoint, and offers far more than just pizza and pasta. It really is worth having three courses at this place becuase they do it so well! For starters, the prawn and salmon cornetto is definitely worth the money, and the bruschetta always tastes perfect. The orientale pasta is perfect if you like a taste of india with your italian (try it, it's great) and the primavera has truly flavoursome vegetables. But leave room for dessert, the hot chocolate pudding pie is exquisite! Great food in lovely surroundings, definitely the place in Hove to eat.

Unfortunately I couldn't disagree more with the below comments, I have had bad fish there twice and the staff neither cared nor offer any alternative on either occassion. On most of the times I have been there we have felt hurried to leave, well I won't be hurrying back.

La Piazza is Fabulous Italian restaurant, the service is excellent and friendly, the atmosphere is lovely, and most importantly the Food is gorgeous, and not overpriced for the quality you receive.

Def recommend.

My girlfriend and I have been to this Italian restaurant more times than any other in Hove and its not the cheapest which is testament to the quality of both the food and the service. The atmsophere is relaxing, romantic and friendly. The tables are fairly well-spaced unlike some other Italian restaurants in the area. All this is very good but what about the food? Well it doesn't dissapoint - the food here is absolutely scumptious. I like my steak and the Fillet in red wine and mushroom sauce is out-of-this-world and cooked to perfection (medium rare as a steak should be). They also have a nice selection of wines to choose from to compliment your meal. We have tried and shall continue to try other Italains but will always return to La Piazza when we can.

After eating at every Italian restaurant in Hove this is most definitely the best. The quality of food has been excellent and consistant on every visit. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food is great value. If you're in Hove you won't be disapointed.
