My partner and I were bitterly disappointed with our visit to this restaurant on friday night. We have been here before and were expecting more. The food was pleasant enough apart from the gristle on my partners fillet steak, but for the price I would expect something more special. £19 for a main course should be a night to remember, and it was but for entirely the wrong reasons. Firstly all waiters need to take a course in smiling. The communication needs to be improved as they were un aware of dishes that were not available. However the nail in the coffin as far as our tolerance (and possible subsequent visits) was concerned, was having to witness the less than desirable sight of the owner/manager, who up until this point had remained behind his bar barking at members of staff, chatting up (for want of a sleezier phrase) a group of young ladies. The transformation in customer service was amazing and insulting. The table next to us which appeared to be a large family group got no such attention when they sent back not one but two of their meals, and still did not receive personal attention when the poor lady next to me sent hers back for the second time and was left with no meal as the rest of her party had finished. In conclusion £91 not well spent and our advice would be if you are an all female group young enough to be this mans grandchildren you will have a lovely time and probably free drinks!

Food was sublime, service fantastic and efficient. Atmosphere was wonderful, difference being in most other restaurants in Brighton you are so crammed for space e.g. Otellos.
Highly recommend this restaurant to the middle to upper class market. Food prices are good for the quality and portioning of the food that you are receiving.
Highly recommend Friday and Saturday night, atmosphere was pleasant with a friendly vibe.
