I had heard good things about this restaurant, however in my opion wasnt as great as I had thought. Good Idian food with a wide selection but nothing out of the ordinary. The restaurant was beautifully decorated indoors, howver I felt the atmosphere a little tense, everything seemed too quiet and the service seemed to watch you. They were very friendly and made sure on countless times if everything was okay. Good place to go for big parties though.

In my opinion the worst Indian restaurant in Brighton. Cold poppadoms, flavourless curries, extremely small portions, and poor service. At the end of the meal I told to the waitress that it was the worst curry I had tasted in Brighton, and if the manger would like for me to explain why I felt this was the case, then I would be pleased discuss this with him. He declined my offer. My advice, avoid disappointment, go elsewhere!!

I used to eat here when I first started working away from home as it was close to my hotel. However, as I got to know the area better and ventured further afield I left off for a while. The reviews here didn't inspire me to go back either ! However, last night, I couldn't be bothered to go further and re-visited. The ervice was excellent, very friendly and efficient, and the food was superb ! I shall go back soon.

Went into this restaurant on Sunday lunchtime 12 August at about 1.15PM. The only waiter i could see was sweeping the floor. I asked for a table and without a greeting or a smile he picked up 2 menus, pointed to a table and through the menus on the table. needless to say i complained about his attitude and i walked out.Appalling place.

I must say that the service a group of us received here was nt what I was used to from Indian restaurants. The staff were not at all frindly or helpful and the food was poor. I would not go to this Indian restaurant again

My partner and I had a weekend away in Brighton for our Anniversary in 2005. We had been staying at the Queens Hotel and simply 'happened' upon "Noori's" on our way back to the Hotel in the evening. My Family is of Indian origin, although I, myself, tick the box "White-British" when asked to fill in my ethnic origin on forms and documentation. The only reson I mention this is to illustrate that I have been bought up in a house where the primary dish served is Curry.
I must say that the cuisine we enjoyed that night was lovely, and each dish had a unique flavour, unlike some Indian Restaurants I have visited that use the same base for almost every sauce, they just add colourant and the result is that your Tikka Masala is the equivilant of a reddish Korma. Most places do not know what a good Biriani should taste like but my when my grandfather cooks, the lamb is marinated for 24 hours at least. Curry is about tantalising flavours and Noori did not dsappoint in that department. The service was very friendly and we left after having a very pleasurable meal and I am going to drive the 100 mile round trip again this weekend to take my lovely lady back there again. We have very fond memories of that evening and if we had the chance to do it all again, we wouldn't change a thing - especially where we chose to eat. I would never give a "10" rating, because something can always be improved but I would go as far as to say that there was certainly something very special about this establishment. First appearances can be very deceptive as "Noori" , from the outside, looks nothing special really, but it has that little extra quality on the inside. Others may have different stories but let me tell you this; I am one of life moaners, a regular misery guts. If I was not totally happy with what I had been served that night and the service I received, I would have made my feelings very clear (after the meal of course) but it was A1 and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

My wife and I (48 and 51 yrs) have just returned from a fantastic 5 day break in Brighton spoilt only by a visit to Noori’s Indian Restaurant. Whilst the food was, at best, mediocre the attitude of the owner (or at least the guy who takes the table orders – must be the owner or they’d sack him) was just terrible. Firstly, we asked for a ‘smoking table’ so he showed us to a table next to a non-smoking family with small children even though the restaurant was mostly empty. We asked to eat from the set (two course) menu which obviously upset him as he could not make eye contact after that. He stood over us impatiently whilst we were choosing our meal, answered questions abruptly and made no attempt to be pleasant. We couldn’t wait to eat up and get out as soon as possible. Not recommended at all – keep clear!
