10 out of 10 out of 10 out 10.......... I took my wife here for our anniversary recently, what can I say except excellent in every way, the food & drink was fantastic, I had Mousaka and my wife souvlaki, they even have authentic Cypriot Keo beer, the service was superb, you always felt if you needed anything the waitress would appear just as you thought it, but it didn't feel like you were constantly hassled by any of the staff, very friendly atmosphere and relaxed surroundings. Even the bill was a plesant surprise....... We are usually always dissappointed when eating out by at least one aspect of the evening, but in this case everything was perfect........ This place is a must for eveyone, so rare to find places like this nowadays.

Another happy return after far too long a wait. Saturday lunchtime found us in the Sovereign in Preston Street for nice cool drink in their garden. Suitably refreshed, we went back to Estia. The first greeting we received after our first and then only visit of three months ago was "How did you enjoy the football?" to my husband. We then remembered that he was about to go to Moscow in April, and our lovely greeter had remembered this too!!

Bouzouki music playing pleasantly in the background, we happily seated ourselves in the window area, and chatted away whilst perusing the menu. To our shame, we forgot to ask this nice lady her name - will get it next time. As before, she was very happy to give advice, and after interminable deliberations and the mention that we weren't starving hungry, she told us to opt for the starter plate meze. "You can always order something else afterwards, but I have a feeling that will be enough for you today." She was absolutely spot on - an attractively arranged selection of olives, grilled halloumi, meatballs, dolmades, pita bread, tzatziki, houmous, tarasamalata and village salad was plenty for us, tasty and very good value for money at around £12. A chilled bottle of white Sauvignon washed this down very well. A very happy eating experience, thoroughly recommended.

Went for a late lunch (3.00pm) bank holiday Sunday, as we've been meaning to visit Estia for ages. Well, what can I say? On arriving at this small but pretty restaurant, there was a warm welcome by a lovely lady. Although she already had a large family birthday party to deal with, she gave us great service thoughout; a lesson to be learnt by some other Brighton restaurants. We had the meat meze for £12.95 each and it was a veritable feast! Olives, three dips with pita bread, grilled halloumi cheese, dolmades, greek salad, stifado with rice and little greek sausages (sorry, can't remember the proper name). The food delivery was staggered thankfully, which we accompanied with a chilled bottle of rose, then a bottle of fizz, (well, we had just come back from holiday!). Eventually had to (reluctantly) stop eating before we went off pop! With a light airy room to eat in, greek music tinkling away in the background it was a delightful experience, reminding us of good times in Greece, and one we intend to repeat again and again. Thoroughly recommended!!

Having read all the positive reviews, we decided to make a visit and what a pleasant night we had.

We all had the meze and at £20 it really felt like money well spent. As reported before, the food just kept coming. We asked for a break half way through which proved to be a wise move and was no hassle for the waiting staff.

The food was of great quality and very tasty. The wine complimented it beautifully, again as recommended by a fellow reviewer.

We ended our meal with an ameretto. The staff were pleasant, friendly and extremely attentive. A lovely mother and daughter team.

All of us in the party would highly recommend this restaurant and would encourage more to go and sample some Greek delights.

This has to be one of the best restaurants in Brighton. The service is excellent, attentive and friendly. The food is fresh, hot and authentic. We've been here midweek and at the weekend, and their standards do not change whether they're busy or not. Their Meze is outstanding value for money. We came across this place accidentally but so pleased that we did-wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone. We've been coming here regularly for the past couple of years and they've always maintained a relaxed atmosphere regardless of if we were in a group of 2 or 18!! Highly recommended.

My sister and I were really impressed by the attentive service and great food. We tried the Meza for two that included the fish course and the food was fantastic. A really authentic greek experience and excellent value for money. Wouldn't hesitate to go again.

Estia on Valentine's evening was as full as my wife and I were soon to be. The meza appetizer (for two) was perhaps the highlight: really authentic Greek dishes, well prepared and thoughtfully presented. If the main courses didn't leave such a wonderful impression, it was only because the meza had been so very good. The Greek wine (a white Boutari moschofilero) was perfect with the food.

For lovers of Greek cuisine, this place should not be overlooked. One complaint: more bouzouki music please.

We went to Brighton for he night for good food and after much searching on the internet we found great recommendations for Estia and so gave it a try. It's a small place a little tucked away with a good family-run feel. Not at all pretentious but still suitable for a romantic meal for two.

Food was excellent-good quality, great authentic dishes served with grace and a smile.

We ordered 2 starters, 2 mains and a spirit each and it came to £50.

Good value for ecellent food.

I have been here twice now and both times we had an absolutely fantastic meal and a lovely evening.

We went for the meze which was very reasonable at £20 a head, and the food just keeps coming and coming! Really top quality, fresh dishes and a lovely atmosphere, it really feels like a nice family run restaurant with real charm. We will definitely be going back.
