I have been here twice now and both times we had an absolutely fantastic meal and a lovely evening.

We went for the meze which was very reasonable at £20 a head, and the food just keeps coming and coming! Really top quality, fresh dishes and a lovely atmosphere, it really feels like a nice family run restaurant with real charm. We will definitely be going back.

My husband, our friends and myself booked into this restaurant on the strength of its reviews and we were not disappointed. We had the meze at £20 a head and we struggled to get through the meal. The food was beautifully cooked, there was a good atmosphere and service with a smile. A good night was had by all. 11th August 2007

What if you manage against the laws of nature to share a day off with your wife, and with small child happily off to school, plus no need to be at home till 4 in the afternoon, you both share a love of all things Greek, simple; check the reviews on the internet, buy a cheapo ticket for Brighton, and head for Estia on arrival.

Very friendly atmosphere, food spot on, great saganaki, faultless kleftiko, crisp white tablecloths, enviroment airy and super clean.

OK it was quiet lunchtime but you just know this place ain't gonna let you down, they deserve to be busy.

So several courses and two botles of retsina later it's time to head back to dreary Croydon. With a bill that won't embarass we will certainly go again, and more importantly .....take others.

What a great antidote to the production line food and sterile service we too easily tolerate in national chains.

The smell of burger is starting to hang heavy in the air over Brighton these days, fight back go to Estia!

We went for a meal at Estia last week. We have been there a few times before and always been very pleased with the food. Thankfully it was just as good this time. Plenty of pitta bread and dips for our starter and we had moussaka and lamb kleftiko, both excellent. The lamb shoulder had a lot of meat on it, melted in the mouth and was very tasty. The staff are very friendly and always try to please. We will continue to come here in the future. It is by far the best Greek restaurant in Brighton & Hove. We used to go to Ipanema (now called Symposio) a few years ago but that has gone so downhill that the food is awful. And we tried Thalassa once but the food was poor there too so never again! Estia is the place to go if you want good Greek food in a nice quiet little resturant. Highly recommended!

We very much enjoyed our lunch in Estia. Although we were there for Telegraph token lunches (only £5 each) we were given good sized portions of two courses, good choice and nice Greek food. We were looked after by Adreana who was friendly and efficient. Of course we paid extra for two glasses of house red which was excellent. Less than £6 for two large glasses. Highly recommended.

Nice atmosphere. Friendly waiters. Food nice but a little bit expensive. A ++ since they didn't charge service charge to us (party of 2) (I think they charge service charge for a party of 6 or over). I would go again.

I took my family here for my Sisters Birthday, with 2 veggies in our party I was a little nervous as it's so very hard to get good veggie food when out in Brighton. We were not dissapointed, a very warm welcome from the friendly happy staff, a real family feel to the place.

The food was first class, my wife and my Sister, both veggie, shared a Mezze which was amazing, it just kept on comming, everything was clearly freshly cooked and very tasty.

Us meateaters were not dissapointed either, much of the meat was Organic and again freshly cooked and quite delicious.

Lovely atmostphere, I would recommend Estia to everyone, the whole place has a great feel to it, we will be going back here for sure.

I have visited Estia on several occasions with family and friends.Always found the staff welcoming and friendly. The fact that they use organic and free range meat is a plus. There is always a good vegetarian option. We had an exceptional New Years Eve dinner last year, very enjoyable. Hope to repeat it this year. Chocolate cheesecake made with Green and Black chocolate. Brilliant. For beer drinkers try the Keo. ANN.
