Barneys is one of the worst places i have eaten in a long time.....the food took ages to come and when it did it was cold when i said to the waitress it was cold she just smiled and said sorry not much i can do she was the most anoying over flerty waitress who just tryed to hit on me over my eggs think her name was naomi............toby dune hove

A great sunday roast, bit slow on the service but friendly. The price reflects the standard of this place, not the best but certainly comfortable with tasty food.

barneys rocks!who cares if they dont serve eggs benedict anymore, its the best place to sit and watch the world go by with friendy and beautiful staff-come rain or shine..

i first went there years ago, and would sit and watch this waitress at work, thinking, wow, what a woman, what poise,elegance etc - she is now my wife to be, so there you go, barneys, where

I've been to Barney's a few times over the last couple of months and every time the food has been amazing and the service very friendly and quick. I've only ever been on a fri/sat night and although they were busy we were looked after very well. Not had a bad meal there yet and neither have any of my friends!

As the nearest restaurant to my house, Barney's got a fair amount of attention when I first moved here. I'd agree braodly with most of the other reviewers: Barney's suffers from inconsistency, in terms of service and food quality, and some of the staff seem to have very little idea of waiting on tables involves. Others are fantastic: attentive, friendly, prompt and polite.

The food is usually good, but try to go when it's not too busy (it seems to be at busy times that they struggle). If there's more than two or three of you, watch out - you run the risk of getting the wrong dish, or being served lukewarm food.

We use to go to this restaurant on Sundays for the Jazz and good roast but the service was horrible!! When they stopped doing the jazz we saw no point of going anymore. We went back one Sunday recently and the service was better and the food still good, promising but think it might have been a one off. It is the worst service overall in Brighton and Hove. It seems really unorganised with servers passing by your table empty handed. Maybe they need some proper training or you are going to lose more customers then us.

Very good service. Helpful and friendly staff who went out of their way to accommodate a specific dietary requirement of mine and were also very reasonably priced. The simple food I required was excellent and my son loves the eggs Benedict.

I’m going to visit often. I recommend it as one of the best places I’ve found to have breakfast in the town.

One of the worst places i have ever eaten the staff where rude inparticula one blond waitress with curly hair who thought it was cool to chat up my husband.the food was cold and when arsked if it could be re heated had to wait another hour for it to return, sort it out barneys and i may return again! ps pl tell that over friendly waitress to stay away from my husband! Loved it! Popped in to have a look and ended up staying for hours! Love the fact its table serve and the staff are friendly and chatty. Had a bit of a wait on the (first!) bottle of wine but nothing to complain about. Very impreesed with value for money and service, would reccommend it! =-)
