I couldnt dIsagree more with the comment i just read, in fact Orsino is one of the best restaurants in the area. We have been going there for years and have always enjoyed the food. The staff are friendly and polite. If you want to have good food then i most certainly recommend Orsino.

We haven't been year since the refurbishment and have to say it was a great improvement on the previous layout.

The satff were attentive, the food was good and we certainly won't wait as long for our next visit.

Me and my boyfriend went to orcinios last night and it was lush! high quality food , inside looks lovely its a great place for couples, when we got the menu I was a bit worried coz there was so much on there and normally when you go to places like that they might comprise on quality but my starter dinner and pudding was amazing! infact its one of the best resturants in brighton and hove ive been to and ive been to alot.

I had grilled sword fish on a greek salad with potatoes and i could not fault it(and i am very fussy) the fish was so soft and tasty and went really well with the feta cheese, my boyf has a steak and he said he could have licked the plate clean

was a good atmosphere, really busy(friday night) people were quing out the door, so book a table early

The chocolate souflee we had was gorjus and I ordered this really nice rose sparkling wine, if u like rose i really recommend it

We went out to celebrate a belated valentines meal and it was such a perfect night, quick service will defo be going there on a special occasion again

PS not sure about price, my boyf picked up the tab!

Again my husband took me here for a celebration of our love and committment to our 18 year marriage. We had a fantastic meal this time I had a seafood pasta dish which was exquisite!. The staff were wonderful and made a great fuss of us. We met up with a family who were celebrating their daughter's birthday, where they invited us to their table for drinks at the end of the evening. The staff were happy to accommodate this and left us 'til very late talking. I would definately reccommend this restaurant, we have been there on 4 occassions now and as we live in South Norwood, just past Croydon, I think this says a lot about this place. We will definately be visiting 3 - 4 in this year>

I have been to Orsino at least four times this year. Three of those occasions were with large groups and one with just six people. The food has been of a consistently high standard and extremely good value for money. I am used to overpriced and underwhelming fare from London restaurants.

The fish has always been varied and excellent. I have only had chicken once - it was good but too filling.

The puddings seem to come from an external supplier but are still quite good.

Wine list gave decent options for the food.

I am surprised at the previous comments - it has always been courteous and prompt.

You should try it - it's great.

And no, they don't give me a discount!!

I went two orsino's last night.

It was a very good experiance!

As they say there... it really was ... good food, good wine and good fun!

I had a great time there.

The staff where great!

The food was amazing!

The wine was fantastic!

if you have never been there befor

you should deffinatly go and experiance orsino's!

My husband took me here in Feb 07. Lovely surroundings, food was ok. He stated service last time was very slow, he wanted to get away quickly because he was not in good company. However on our night it was fine. We had a lovely meal and they managed to fit us in as it was very busy. Found the staff very polite & helpful and the management made a great fuss of us as we had come a long way. Found the price of the meal very reasonable. We had come down from Croydon and will definately be going there again maybe for our wedding anniversay in July.

visited here in Feb 2006. My husband took me there. We live in Croydon. He had been before but this was my first time. It was busy but they managed to fit us in! The menu was varied & we both enjoyed a great meal. Wine list was ok. Service not bad but he mentioned it was particularly slow on his last visit & as he wanted to leave asap- due to company not the surroundings tainted his evening somewhat. We had a romantic meal and able to talk undisturbed. Cost was moderate and will definately be returning possibly for out 17th wedding anniversay in July..
