Living locally in brighton, this would be my first choice of restaurant due to the lovely atmosphere and delicious menu. Staff are welcoming and very friendly. I would recommend the steaks are pollo tarragon (best in town) and if you have a sweet tooth leave room for dessert!

Quiet Tuesday evening. Very helpful waitress happy to explain all about the dishes as we know very little about Mexican food. Tried 3 different styles Fajitas, a chicken dish, and Tortilla type. All very good and extremely tasty. Very good night out.

The best Mexican I have ever had!

Food was amazing and the service was impeccable!

I would recommend any of the steaks or go for the ribs and wings! They have a great selection of desserts too!

I regularly come down from London just to dine here - well worth a visit!

Had a really terrible experience at this restuarant and wouldn't recommend it to anyone and certainly will not be going again.

first - the food isn't that great, less than average mexican food but the waitress who served us was absolutely horrendous. very rude, really not interested at all and literally slamming our food down in front of us. we all noticed her attitude and wonder why you would have a person like that working in your restuarant.

We ate here last night and opted for the set meal. Cheap, processed food. Terrible wine. I never mind paying extra for wine if its going to taste good, but this was Italian house and tasted awful.

The staff were lovely though, and I did like the expanding napkin which you added water to! Nice touch.

I have been coming to Los Amigo's for years and have to say I'm suprised to have read some of the reviews because I love it and pretty much everyone I speak to in the area recommends it as their favourite Mexican!

I went last Monday night and was pleased it find out it was 'Fajita Night' which meant me and my partner were able to order a chicken fajita for 2 for only £15. We also noticed an offer on pitchers of (delicious!!!!) sangria for £10. As these were both such good deals we also ordered the Combo Los Amigo's as a starter. It included ribs, chicken wings, onion rings, stuffed peppers and tortilla chips. I must say, although it says a minimum of 2 people i think it would be sufficent for 4!! our fajitas arrived sizzling and we were giving the option of chilli flakes to spice things up - perfect for me as I love spicy food. I personally love the fajitas here. They taste authentic and nothing like that sickly sweet bbq taste you get from old el paso packs!!!! The sauces were nice, especially the guacamole. It was vibrant in colour and taste and what I liked most was that it tasted so fresh!

We were so full we opted out on dessert but my partner had a liquor coffee and it gorgeous. They have a lot to choose from but he had the 'Mexican' which is kahlue and tequila... it sounds like a killer combo but it was really lovely.

Service is all friendly and the atmosphere relaxed and cosy. Ive been on weekends before and i must say it does get pretty busy, but a great vibe for a more lively gathering of friends!

Yet to be dissapointed here!

Me and my partner used to use this restaurant regularly a couple of years back and it was always usually very good and the food was consistent. However after my partner had experienced a tiring and stressful day at work i decided to treat her to a meal out as the evening was relatively warm and it had been a nice sunny day. I thought this would cheer her up! We were also looking to book this venue for an anniversary in three weeks time so felt that it would be a good idea to check it out!

The place was relatively quiet and quite dark with around three other couples sharing a meal. Their were two staff a young girl and a serious looking older woman who looked like she would rather be somewhere else. We asked for a menu and then ordered a beer before opting for the chicken fajitas with some side dishes whilst my partner ordered the lamb with a cognac sauce.

Within less than ten minutes both meals arrived, which was quick but i did not think much of it as my dish was fajitas and they do not take long from fresh.

As i tucked in i was not overwhelmed as the fahitas and chicken were dry and the salsa tasted like wallpaper paste mixed with cold mashed up butter beans. The small serving of rice was also luke warm as well as being dry and tasteless, in fact the more i tried to eat it the more i struggled to swallow it. My partner tucked in to her lamb which was supposed to come with vegetables but one potato and some string beans with a couple of chives probably doesn't qualify she muttered to me that it was also barely warm but smiled.

She asked if i wished to taste her lamb but i declined before offering her a mouthful of my chicken fajitas. As she tasted it she put her hand to her mouth and pulled out a piece of chicken with a grimace on her face, before placing it on the side of her plate. We both looked at it and although it was dark we could see that it was a brown flabby bit of meat not normally what chicken would look like.

I could see the two women at the bar looking over intensely at our table so i made a polite face of disgust as they could not make eye contact for long and it was obvious by the amount left on our plates that we were not enjoying our meal. Now usually i would kick up a big fuss but the whole episode would have just added to my partners miserable day so i bit my lip as they cleared the table and promptly asked for the bill. The meal was not cheap and they did not have enough dignity to ask us if we had enjoyed it or would like something else. Not that i would have after experiencing that.

Shamefully this is typical of the town i have lived in all my life and the increasingly poor low standards that now pass as acceptable, despite the fact that we are locals you get the feeling that you are being treated as a one-off tourist who probably will not come back anyway!!! Suffice to say this time we will not go back to Los Amigos ......instead we have booked a 22 strong party to celebrate an anniversary in Ganges opposite ...which is always excellent!!!
