Genghis Khan's Mongolian Barbeque

Friendly staff and nice atmosphere, and a big variety of veg. We thought the portion control was a bit over zealous, you are given a tiny bowl that you have to keep queuing up to get the contents cooked. After spending an hour to achieve four little bowlfuls you are likely to be still hungry but tired and annoyed so you give up and go elsewhere. Considering the prices, slightly bigger portions wouldnt break the bank.

A group of us has a great evening out here on Thursday, July 10. We enjoy picking and mixing and making mistakes (few but still edible). The guys on the barbecue were friendly, too. As a vegetarian I really enjoyed the wide choice available. The only draw back was the Turkish delight was very hard.

A group of six of us went along to Genghis Kahn's on July 11, 2008. We all remembered it from when it used to be in West Street, but only one had been before.

We had a fantastic time trying out different mixes, 99% of them edible (and the one that wasn't was eaten by someone else).

It's a great way to experiment with flavours and really eat what you want, how you want it. The Turkish Delight on the Kahn's platter was a bit hard though, but the profiteroles were to die for.

One word Fantastic.... i have been to quite a few resturants of the same theme and not a single one of them even comes close to this one.... well definately be going back. The perfect place for "big" eaters and fussy eaters alike!!!!

We went to Genghis for my husband's birthday with a group of friends and although the food was good the service was awful. A friend of ours who had come all the way from london, and was inevitably stuck in traffic arrived 15mins late and was told (by a very rude and aggressive manager) that he would not have enough time to eat. It was all very embarrasing! We were rushed through and the whole experience was quite unpleasent. It was supposed to be a fun evening for all, instead we all just felt uncomfortable and pressured to eat and leave!

I read the reviews on here and decided to gamble on taking my team here for the works night out... I'm glad I did.

Fun was had by all, and I agree with those who've said it's a good place to take fussy eaters - you really can pick your own ingredients - you get a bowl full of food and it's all your own choice! And then a 2nd bowl, and a 3rd, etc... you get the idea!

The manager and staff were superb too, overall highly recommended and I will be coming back again, with or without my colleagues - my birthday is soon.....!!!!

I went to Genghis khan's for a friends birthday and it was great, it was good fun making up meals or following their menu's. I enjoyed so much i have booked our christmas meal there.

What a great restaurant. I enjoy every time I go and cannot fault the enthusiasm of the staff, the atmosphere inside, or the food!

The concept of choose what you want to eat, list of ingredients to rival a supermarket, combine what you want without any comments from the staff.

One of my favourite restaurants in Brighton.
