Genghis Khan's Mongolian Barbeque

Had a meal here with two good friends, the staff were very helpful and the food was delicious. Highly recommend this to everyone.

I have been here with my family and we all enjoyed the atmosphere, being able to help yourself without waiting for waiters and good fresh food which I have never experienced at other asian restaurants. Very helpful staff especially front of house and chefs who do an amazing job. I wish I could find the same in Paris and Brussels, but alas no.

Will go back again and again.

Wished I read some of the reviews before visiting this establishment. A group of us visited and we were quite frankly appalled at the rudeness and surliness of the staff. I don't know if they were understaffed or having a bad night but we were unimpressed and ruined our evening to the point where they overcharged us for drinks and were reluctant to fix their mistake.

I have to strongly disagree with you Mr P.

This place is great and I've been to it many times for outings with friends. It's no tourist trap, although it is a bit pricey if you can't eat that much.

I highly recommend the 'wrath of khan' cocktail. The food is great because it's a big experiment. I think this restaurant is great for anyone who enjoys cooking and fancies making some of their own concoctions.

Completely agree with Chris. I went with my girlfriend last night and it was a fantastic experience! If you're looking for a meal that's a bit different then give it a try! You can concoct your own dish, choosing from the variety of meat, fish and tofu on offer, add vegetables, spices, seasoning, a huge array of sauces, chili oil, lemon/lime juce, coconut cream, peanuts (the list goes on!), take it to the chefs and they'll cook it for you in front of your eyes, often offering a helpful tip or two to finish off your dish. There are recipe suggestions or you can just give it a whirl yourself. We had 6 dishes each! (The bowls aren't huge) but that's great value for money for the £14.00ish that it cost each. Where else can you eat Sweet and Sour Pork, Chili Beef with green peppers, Mussels in Garlic, Chili and lemon juice with fresh parsley, BBQ Beef with mushrooms, sweetcorn, peppers and Satay Chicken, all in the same night?

Unusual, but very enjoyable!

Had a poor meal recently. Found the food tasteless. Hygiene practices lacking and we wee overcharged for drinks we didn't order. This place is a tourist trap!

Went to this place with work a little while ago and had alot of fun. Given the food 10/10 but its essentially as good as you make it since you do it yourself. Not the best fittings in the place but the novelty and how good the food is more than makes up for that.

Good fun and good value for money!

I really don't understand why people have given bad reviews for this restaurant! My boyfriend and I LOVE this place. You couldn't fault it. I follow the sheets that are give, the sheets have meat & veggie options. My boyfriend just goes up & makes his own meal with the products provided. Plus the cocktails that are served are very good value for money! As well as being very strong. Everyone I have taken here hasn't had a bad word to say about it, they all return. The staff are very friendly & helpful, once they even offered to make myself & my boyfriend a dish that they are thinking to add to the meal sheets. It was amazing!

I would strongly recommend this place, as you leave happy & very full!

although i knew of this reataurant i have never visited it because of its name , mongolian food????? but have heard other people saying how good it was ... after visiting there this evening i wish i had been there before, this is by miles the best reataurant i have ever been to in brighton ( and i have lived here for 10 years ) its different as you pick your own meat with all the accompniants and seasonings and sauses then they cook it for you..its not mongolian, its what ever you want it to be, the way you want it to be...excellent idea, ecellent concept..the staff are very friendly and welcoming and dont mind if your meal is not to your liking, they throw it away and you try again... 10 out of 10, will deffinatly be going bak again and again.
