Santa Fe Restaurant

Service was very good and we were made to feel very welcome. However the atmoshphere did lack perhaps because the restaurant was so empty. Food was very good but a but a bit overpriced as portions are small.

We were very excited to eat here having read the menu on the website, but unfortunately the food was distintively average and the portions were small. The house burger led you to believe half was missing as it's the smallest burger we'd ever seen, and at ten quid you're better off going to Tootsies or GBK. The vegetarian options were imaginative but peculiar. The desserts, chocolate fudge cake and brownies, were sickly and very artificial tasting. The open kitchen also means you can watch your food go cold as the staff run around like headless chickens instead of bringing over your meal. I was tempted to walk up to the kitchen and get our plates myself. The staff didn't even manage to bill us properly, but hey I'm not complaining, we got our nasty desserts for free! On a lighter note, downstairs is great, the service fanatastic and the cocktails to die for.

The cocktails and desserts are pretty amazing, and you can see the place has potential to kick at night. In the day, it's pretty empty generally (been several times) but the food, for what you pay, is generally good quality.

Nothing extraordinary, but close to the beach, fab cocktails and quick service makes this place a must-do for a quick fill and fancy.
