this is a really great place. Fantastic real home cooked food, inventive menu, good value and EXCELLENT SERVICE. (Cant see what the other reviewers mean......)

Generous portions. Delicious.

Had heard good reviews about food for friends since my last visit about eight years ago.Was sorely dissapointed, the service was innattentive, the food poor and the drinks overly expensive.I think it has tried to reinvent itself as a more upmarket food place when what it did best was cheap and cherful veggie fare with no pretension. If you want great veggie food spend a few pounds more and go to terrre a terre rather than feel dissapointed.

Heard rave reviews about this place, and as myself and my wife are both long time veggies bored by the general fare offered by most places we decided to give it a try. We were thrilled to have a menu that took us a lot longer than usual to peruse!

They had some very interesting and original dishes and at a decent price.

We were offered drinks pretty sharpish and asked for a little longer before ordering. We were then completely ignored for quite some time.

They seemed to have four members of staff working the floor but unfortunately we were served by the two waitresses that really didn't seem to want to be there. It took an age to order, the food took a very long time coming, no eye contact and they would walk off mid sentence!

For me the service is just as important as the food and I was really disappointed.

The food was good, nothing spectacular by any means, we both ordered the sausages and mash and for both dishes the mash was almost cold, the gravy was thin and flavorless.

One starter, two mains, two desserts, two juices and a pot of tea for two and the total was £40.
