The atmosphere was relaxed but a bit too relaxed. It took the staff one hour to cook pancakes and one cooked breakfast which we didn't get to eat because our parking meter was running out. If you thought it might have been busy, well there were only about 6 other customers in the cafe. When i Looked around i was astonished to see cracks all along the ceiling and pelled off paint on the walls. The chair that my sister was sitting on was appaling. The leather had been ripped open and she had to use her coat so she could be a little comfortable. Sadly I can't give a mark for food because all I got was a lemonade and I can't give a mark for service because there was nothing to serve.

Lovely relaxed atmosphere. I love going upstairs, finding a corner and tucking into the scrummy nosh. I choose to eat here even though I'm not a veggie 'cos the food is always fresh and healthy and I never feel bloated after a meal here. I like the staff too always friendly and helpful.

I go here for lunch sometimes, as there are no other veggie options in this part of Hove. Food is usually very good, although the reliance of quiche and salads, usually at £6/7+ means it’s not the cheapest place to grab a quick lunch and the menu is rather samey. Very attractive building, the leather seats and chairs in the upstairs room look more comfortable than they are, I can never manage to dwell very long. The reliance on big tables means most people wander around trying to sit alone, or sit shuffling away from each other. Trying to look cooler than it is, much like the staff who all seem to devote more energy to ensuring they look suitably ‘hippy’ than actually being friendly, and I always feel they’re not really bothered. Not an inspiring place, but if you work in the area and are veggie, it’s alright.
