POP Restaurant & Bar

What can I say? I have never written one of these reviews before, but our experience last night was so awful, it was funny, so I feel I must share!

We purchased a deal through travelzoo for a three course meal and two cocktails. What a mistake - I am not sure if we were the only people on a deal, but we were certainly made to feel like we were invisible!

Our food orders were eventually taken (after being told by the waitress serving the bread that it was not her job to take food orders!) One steak was cold, and all steaks were served without the described accompaniments. When we queried where the extras were, the waiter argued about the content of his own menu. |The cold steak was returned, but the other two in our party never did receive their accompaniments.

Eventually, after one service faux pas after another, we cut our losses and left the restaurant. On the way out, we were cornered by a waitress, who told us we needed to pay for one of our "free" cocktails. Despite having the voucher with us, she argued that we would need to pay for one. Eventually after an embarrassing showdown, the maitre d' apologised for the waitresses error and we were eventually able to leave without the police being called!!

Food was actually OK; had it not been for the abysmal service I would not be writing this review. I very much doubt this restaurant (if you can call it that) will be in existence in 6 months time.
