Pinocchio

My parter and I spent the day in Brighton on Sunday and went to Pinocchio's for dinner. This was our first visit to Brighton and while the rest of ther city seemed nice we were very disappointed with Pinocchios. We walked out after an hour later as the service was unbelievably slow. No one bothered to take our order and we weren't the only ones left sitting at our tables so we had to wave down a waitress. People who arrived after us received their entrees and mains before we even saw our garlic bread. People who arrived 30 minutes after us received their food before us! When I asked where our food was they said it was coming right now - but those plates went to another table who had also come in after us. We made a lot of noise and left without having even being served our entree. A tip for the restaurant - get more staff!

Visitd on the evening of Wednesday July 9th, 2008. Party of five, later joined by a friend for a drink to make up to six.
Food average and certainly nothing special. Service appalling and far too slow. Main courses brough without offering black pepper and parmesan cheese (we had to ask). Sweets painfully slow. Had to ask five times for bill. Would certainly NEVER go there again

The waiting staff are very friendly and they are happy to accommodate small children (would advise sitting upstairs if you have young ones). There is a good and sometimes noisy atmosphere which is good if your kids are a bit loud like ours and you don't feel too self conscious. Excellent value for money as certain dishes like lasagne and spaghetti bolognese can be purchased at lunchtime for £3. The salad bar is nice and fresh (unlike some better known pizza chains) and their pizzas are also very good.
Will definitely be returning.

it is standard italian fare but you get great value for money, the waiters werent too fussed that i asked to personalise the main course. For a quick casual bite, low on cost and ideally located amidst Brightons theatreland its great for a casual night out if not looking to vastly impress.

You are spoilt for choice in Brighton for reasonably priced Italian restaurants but we always go back to Pinocchio's. Its a great location and exceptionally good value for money, particulary if you opt for the set price menu. The proprietor and all the staff are very welcoming and its always busy, particularly at the weekends. Its a no frills basic Italian but we love it. Would definitely recommend.

I went to Pinocchio's with my mum and dad for a meal when i first moved to Brighton. I had a lovely evening, i ordered the seafood pasta as a main and ice cream for desert. The service was impressive and it didnt break the bank.
What really made my night was that Sue Pollard was eating at the restaurant as was Tony's boyfriend from Eastenders (he was in it a long time ago, but all the same he was famous!!) Good for star spotting!!

Terrible, My boyfriend and I like the sound and price of Pinocchio, but the food is terrible, unoriginal, over-cooked and tastless. My boyfriend had a pizza that was burnt and had little topping. I had bass, that was not fresh, proabably frozen greek stuff, with a tepid tastless lemon caper sauce. It cost £12 which is a total insult to injusry and was served with 'english vegtables',stangely the same shape and taste as my sainsburys frozen mixed vegtables?
I would NEVER go back there, there are far better places to eat in brighton, i cant see how this place is so busy for such inadequate food?...the atmosphere was good apart form that the service was poor.
BIG THUMBS DOWN
