The bride to be had a fantastic time, there was no mistakes with anyones food etc and absolutely everyone loved the food one lady even said the pizza she had was the best pizza she had ever had and the banoffee pie also went down like a dream!

I had booked a meal for my friends Hen Night, and we chose one of the set menus. The choice of of food was good value for money, and the food was nicely prepared. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and I would certianly recommend any one either booking for a large group, a nice meal for two, or a family meal.

My wife and I were married a few weeks ago at Al Duomo in Brighton. The food and wine were lovely (and were complimented by a number of people) and the venue was perfect. The service, particularly the main waitor who helped us on the bar and food, was superb. I have worked in catering in the past myself, both in restaurants and bars, and know when someone excels. Alberto was a great help throughout the planning process and generally contributed to a lovely and memorable night for my wife and I. I would not hesitate to recommend it to other prospective brides and grooms.

Note to anyone who has eaten real Italian food in Italy or elsewhere: this restaurant does not serve real Italian food. In fact, I'm not sure what kind of food it is. A mish-mash of ingredients, frozen veg, mediocre sauces etc. The pizzas are ok, but nothing special. Much better food (more like "Italian food") is available for the same price at Strada or Carluccios.

Went there with a group for a birthday.
The wine was poor the food wasnt very good either. The service was OK.
The atmosphere is noisy and tends to be for a younger crowd.I dont rate it much.
I had a similar experience last time I went.
There are better Italian restaurants and
better value to be found in Brighton.

Our club held an annual awards function at Al Duomo on 12th May 2007. 54 people attended. The manager was very helpful with arrangements. On the day the staff were very attentive and efficient. The food was very good with generous portions from a set menu with a wide choice. Catering for large parties cannot be easy but they did an excellent job.

Would not recommend! Had heard good reviews about Al Duomo and wanted a quick bite before a concert. Quick, it wasn't. Restaurant was practically empty but it was early evening, staff reminded us of Fawlty Towers (an example - waiter dropped a knife on the floor, inadvertently stood on it, picked it up, wiped it on trousers and put it back in the cutlery drawer!). We were asked several times for our order and food took over 30 mins to arrive. It wasn't worth the wait. Asked for service charge to be removed.

When here last week for my wife's birthday with a small group of friends.
The place was busy and a lively atmosphere.
The service was impeccable as was the food I had the Antipasto misto to start beautifully presented with rocket salad and the Lamb shank for main which was delicious in a light honey sauce, the meat just fell of the bone, even the vegetable where cooked to perfection, my wife had the Calamari again perfectly cooked and the Sword fish special with mashed potatoes, which was heaveny. Our friends also commented on there food and how fantastic it was and the portions were big, so we could only manage to share a sweet and the Tiramisu was light with coffee aromas and drizzled in chocolate. One of the best meals we have had in Brighton.

I've been coming here for years and love it. I live in London and whenever I visit Brighton I always come here quite simply for their fantastic Calzone.

We have always like Al Duomo as it has got the best Pizza in Brighton with a nice taste from their wood oven. On New Years Eve, few of us go round for lunch and found that the staff were dressed up and busy decorating the place for the Disco in the evening. Instead of the usual Pizza and Pasta, we had Lamb Shank, Veal with mushroom as well as the Duck. It was fantastic. As I am a regular, the staff all give us a kiss when we left to wish us a Happy New Year..
