The Strand Restaurant

A good restaurant with a lively vibe. The menu is quite short, but all dishes are very attractively presented, well conceived and skilfully executed. Service is quite brisk, but still friendly. It's possibly more of a place for groups than couples, but all in all a very pleasant experience.

Great restaurant - one of Brighton's best. Lovely romantic and cosy feel to it. Little pricey but worth every penny.

we have been to the strand at least 10 time and never been disappointed with the service or food,you dont mind paying the extra if the food is good, would recomend it to anyone.we have tried loads of restaurants as we live local and not one is as consistent with good food and service.

Errr thanks foodcritic but most people reviewing a restaurant *have* eaten the food...

Tha Strand makes gourmet meals that are so damn delicious (as is the chef) that nobody just visits the once. There's a good balance of dishes, veg, fish and meat; the staff are friendly and the service swift. The only critism is the wine list, though that's purely a personal thing. Their whites seemed limited to chardonnay or citrus notes, but outside of that - highly recommended!

I love The Strand! Went there in the summer and thought it was great. I eat out a lot through my job and this is my favourite place without a doubt. Really relaxed, waitress was completely attentive and food was fantastic.

My partner Moira and my daughter Bryony and her husband Andy visited The Strand on Saturday 7th October 2006. The welcome was warm and friendly, the atmosphere easy going and unstuffy and the food was quite simply the best I have ever eaten in a Brighton restaurant.

I shall be returning again and again and will recommend it to anyone who asks me where to find good value eating out in Brighton. Congratulations and thank you to all at The Strand.

I love the strand restaurant and have had many happy evenings there food is excellent and Shelia the owner is lovely and friendly, we even booked it for our wedding 4 years ago and it was amazing, i fully recommend it as it is unpretentious and caters for everyone
