The best Thai food in Brighton - or anywhere else I've eaten it. The star dish is the Weeping Tiger - thick strips of tender steak still pink in the middle - I've never had such good meat in any other Thai.

It's a tiny place so worth booking ahead or else turning up at 6 when they open.

It's one of two places we always take out of town friends to.

We went on Saturday night, we were in Brighton and had eaten here before. The service was slow but then again they were full with not many waiting staff - we ordered the special which was king prawns in a cocunut sauce, and a chicken in basil leaves. It did take a while to arrive, as did the drinks, if I had known I would have gone downstairs and got my own as the waiting staff looked harassed and I felt bad by asking where our drinks were after 20 mins of waiting. The food was absolutely delicious and well worth the wait. The egg fried rice was fresh and although the portions were modest they made up for it in taste. The bill was £29. Bargain!

I have been going to the Pond with my partner and friends for around 10 years now. The food is simply fabulous and excellent value for money. Thai food can be a bit hit and miss sometimes but you can't go wrong here. All the dishes are completely authentic and the specials are always just that. No Laab on the menu but they did do one for me once anyway. Not to be missed!

This is a charming little pub with lively bar downstairs and a very keenly priced Thai menu upstairs. I had went for the weeping tiger, which was succulent, tasty and left me wanting more.

Highly recommended and only 5 mins walk from the station.
