Brilliant food, very attentive friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Particular favourites are the Ikan Bumbu Bali, a delicious fish curry, wish goes great with a side dish of Fried Anchovies and Cashews. Also brilliant is the satay, the sauce is very moreish! Also very good value. The only negative I can think of is that you may end up ordering so much it may not fit on the table!

This is a fantastic little restaurant. We went on the evening of bank holiday Monday and there were a few things off the menu following a busy weekend. I have to say that the Rendang Daging is probably the best beef dish I have ever had! Melt in your mouth delicious and a steel at £8.50!
Attentive service, lovely food and a bargain.
Excellent. I will be returning...

Food is excellent, service is really quick and people very friendly. And deifinately value for money. Highley rcommend!! The only negative thing maybe is the tables are a little on the small side (only if you order lots, which we did). 5 star.

We visited this week and thought it an excellent restaurant. We dined from the set lunch; not only was it very tasty, it was also very good value for money at around £6 per head for 2 courses. The sevice was also very good, being attentive without being overbearing. We will definitely return before too long!

Sitting in a Brighton pub having a quick drink before lunch we bumped into a couple of friends who were out for a meal too. Having praised Warung Tujuh before we told them we were off soon to eat there again. When they told me which restaurant they were intending to visit, I suggested they accompany us instead. They readily agreed and we went off together. The £6.00 set lunch for two courses was partaken by both couples with a request for the mains to be spicy hot please. We all had various satay for starters which we all thoroughly enjoyed and then both couples had to share, nasi goreng and mi goreng for mains. Again really scrummy. Our friends had a beer each, we had a very nice Spanish rose which went very well with the food. Cannot recommend this place too highly - may they have every success. If we lived nearer, I would be using their takeaway service too!!

Revisited after a very busy day at work with very little to eat during the day. When we entered, there was a couple on another table, the lady being Asian, which was a good sign. Having enjoyed the bargain lunch offer before, we were able to indulge ourselves more this time having larger appetites! Started with a mixed platter of satay, two skewers each of prawn, beef, chicken, veg & lamb with a separate spicy satay sauce to dip into. After a suitable pause, we then plumped for another mixed platter from the main course menu which consisted of chicken marinated in galangal then deep fried, beef satay, rice, peanuts with crispy anchovies and green beans with garlic. To accompany we also had a lamb curry with plenty of sauce and meltingly tender pieces of lamb. Other restaurants please take note! All the food was beautifully presented, and very, very tasty. Have to be honest though and say that the exception was the beans; these were pretty bland. However, there was so much of everything else on offer we weren't bovvered ;-)
The meal was washed down very nicely with a Tempranillo, which like the food, was reasonably priced.
The two girls who run this place were charming, welcoming and made sure all was well with us. This is our second visit and it most certainly won't be our last. Highly recommended. By the way, when we left, replete and happy, the restaurant was busy and buzzing -not bad for a Tuesday night!

I went here last night with 2 friends and it is already one of my favourite restaurants in Brighton. We were given a friendly welcome from the staff who were helpful the whole evening and the food was excellent. We shared the sate platter which was just enough to give us all a little taster but the main course was the star of the night.
We shared the Nasi Goreng (which was on par with ones I had in Asia), the Gule Kambing (lamb curry) and the Ayam Goreng Lengkuas (Chicken in a marinade of galangal). It was all amazing, the meat was tender and well cooked and portions more than enough. Everything was well season and the curry had a hint of spice but not over powering. The chicken was like nothing I have ever had and was so tasty.
Even though it was a busy Saturday night the atmosphere was relaxed and the staff attentive but the food really stood out for quantity and quality.

I agree with you Adele, we visited recently for lunch to enjoy a warm, friendly welcome with good service. I can't speak for the authenticity of the food, having no knowledge of Indonesian, but it tasted lovely and was extremely good value. The set lunch of £6.00 for two courses and £8.00 with the quality of the food produced is amazing!

Greg, you were obviously not in the same restaurant as we've just visited. Having visiting Indonesia many times (and not just the tourist spots) we found the food to be both authentic and tasty. Service was likewise very good and I'd struggle to fault them on anything.

This restaurant was poor. Service inattentive and the food bland.. There are plenty of other better restaurants in Brighton than this one. Avoid.
