This restaurant is fabulous the staff and lovely food was great and the wine delicious and not that expensive. We went as a part of seven for a birthday celebration and had a great evening. Ages ranged from 23 to 84 and all enjoyed it immensley. The best tapas and paella in Brighton. The atmospher was good with flamenco and spanish guitar good fun. I would highly recomend this restaurant and will certainly go again.

Having lived in Spain for several years I was sceptical to say the least about another "authentic" tapas bar opening in town.... But may I say.... Agua Dulce is without a shadow of a doubt the best Tapas Restaurant I have been to in all my 31 years of living in this city! It makes Casa Don Carlos look like Burger King as with every dish, my expectations were superseded! For 4 of us including 2 bottles of very reasonable pink prosecco and around 15 top quality tapas dishes the total bill including a £20 tip came to less that £100. This is without doubt a restaurant that give total value for money along side some of the most amazing spanish dishes I have had the pleasure to taste in a long time!!!! 10/10 from me!!!!

We have just had yet another fabulous night at Aguadulce, the atmosphere is authentic Spain, the food I had the pleasure of eating was simple rustic tasty tapas with favourites such as Chorizo, Gambas Pil Pil, Sardines. This was complimented by a good choice of wine we had red. For pudding I had the almond tart with ice cream a fantastic end to an already superb evening. The charm of the restaurant and staff is second to none. If you want good food, lively intimate atmosphere and a night in authentic Spain then don't hesitate to book. The increasing popularity of the restaurant means you do have to book but again a helpful and friendly voice on the end of the phone makes it easy and stress free. It has now become my husband and I's no.1 restaurant to eat in Brighton and we cannot recommend it enough to our friends and family.

My partner and I came here on recommendation of some friends of ours who had been previously. We both love Spanish food and have been frequent visitors to Casa Don Carlos (also a great restaurant by the way) and if I'm honest I almost didn't want to like this new upstart.
However the owner Carlos was a wonderful host and the service was great. The food was a step up from most tapas I have had in other restaurants, the Albondigas in particular were very tasty indeed.
We had a very nice Spanish Rioja with our food, and followed it with a Cortado (highly recommended if you like your coffee with flavour) and a brandy.
We'll definitely be visiting again.

Having read the excellent reviews online, I booked a table for 6 on a Saturday night. I am afraid that we were a little dissappointed. The food all came out together and tasted lovely, but the portions were very small for the price, and some of the food was cold. I ordered the steak and it arrived chopped up for me, which was strange and a little irritating. Also, the decor was dated and I hate scruffy loos and wobbly tables, which this place unfortunately had....
I am afraid that although the food was acceptable, I will not be going back to Agua Dulce.

This is the late unlamented Latin in the Lanes. We visited yesterday after reading all the good revues on here, for a late lunch (10/03/10) with two friends, after a couple of drinks in Doctor Brighton. It was a bitterly cold but sunny day, and as the people in DB's were so friendly, we forgave the awful decor of this once nice pub. When we entered, we had the restaurant to ourselves, so the only atmosphere was the one we created! This was not surprising though as we arrived around 3.30pm. There was a notice on the window offering 3 tapas dishes for £5.00 which sounded good to us. However, when we were given the menus, no mention was made of this offer. We gathered our courage and asked for the special, and was immediately shown the ten dishes on offer on a separate menu. They all sounded tasty, including anchovies, chorizo, 3 different types of potato, spanish omelette, chicken etc etc. So we decided to have the whole selection between the four of us with a couple of double ups. Well, there wasn't one disappointment in the whole lot; everything was very good to eat, with plenty of fresh crusty bread to mop up the juices and a couple of bottles of house red (nice Rioja) to wash it all down. The guy who looked after us was charming, welcoming and besides not offering the special menu, very efficient. We were all very impressed, will come back again soon and sincerely hope that this restaurant is here to stay. There was some interesting dishes offered on the main menu that we want to try. Personally, I have been banging on for ages that we need a decent tapas bar near the seafront, and now we have! Good to know they are open all afternoon. Also, it may make Casa Don Carlos look to their laurels, as I feel they have got far too complacent.
Go to Aguadulce and have a taste of Spain!

This is the best Spanish food in Brighton - I'm married to a Spainish guy so i should know! We had a big feast for a whole group of us and they brought out the most delicious, authentic range of dishes; the service was warm and genuine too. I'm even going to take my mother in law there when she visits!
