Ah!!!!! finally a restaurant in Brighton where they ask how I would like my burger cooked...
We live in Brighton and we came to watch the marathon and passed by TABLE but we heard about the food and .... the burger! so we decided to give it a try!
Shame it was Sunday and the only menu offered was Sunday Roast. So I ordered the '9 hour slow roasted Rib of beef'... awwww what an experience! so tender, so tasty.... I usually go to my favorite pub in Kemptown but now... i will be there every Sunday... The weather was so lovely and decided to leave for the beach...
Meeting some friends there, we decided to come back for an early supper and my friends were hoping to get some dinner... guess where... at TABLE!!!
So we all came back there and enjoyed their special deal at £12.00 for two courses and a glass of beer or wine... I think?! It was lovely.... but I had my rare burger ... in one word: D.I.V.I.N.E. The burger was thick and huge... did not even finished it!
I am happy to have found this restaurant.... highly recommend!
PS: check the toilets out... just brilliant!

“Can't be bothered”
Having eaten here a few months ago ,we decided to return for my partners birthday celebration. Not a good move, i asked if a table could be reserved in the bar so we could have a predinner drink, and though I called to confirm this it wasn't done even though it was midweek and the bar was nearly empty.
Apart from the manager ( who was friendly and accommodating but not there in the evening )the service was sloppy, masticating waitresses might work in some Brighton hot spots but not for us,.The food varied from ok to inedible .Bearing in mind we chose Table because it has a simple menu ,sausages, burgers, fish and chips etc, you'd think the kitchen could prepare and serve this stuff without screwing up!
The calamari rings were cooked till they surrendered while the burgers were flash fried and raw (for those who requested them to be well done !
We'd ordered a cake in ,again giving plenty of notice and this was served in huge slabs with no finesse whatsoever. All in all this was an unpleasant and unedifying experience which will not be repeated. In this financial climate I'd expected a little time ,attention and care being spend but sadly its typical Brighton. ..flash in the pan ,just like their burgers!

My daughter wanted a rare Sunday Roast, which is a part of the British cuisine that I certainly have never enjoyed.... until that is, I agreed and chose Table. The atmosphere which is something that is important to me was perfect! Surrounded by huge glass walls - we enjoyed a panoramic view of the buzzing city. The service was just as I expect it to be - excellent. Clearly the staff are very experienced, with approach and timing faltless. The lunch itself was exquisite - it certainly changed my mind about Sunday Roast! Every item on the plate had it's own special and unique flavour - delicious. We lingered for about 4 hours!

I've eaten at this place a lot and I can say they have the best staff in Brighton! They are attentive but not too over the top. Its changed over from Zilli fish which didn't have the best reputation towards the end. But I can definetly say this is one of the best places to eat in the lanes.

I don't know why there are no reviews on this restaurant - we stayed for a long weekend and this was by far the best place we ate in. The service was fantastic - very attentive - and the food excellent. Everything was freshly prepared and good use of seasonal fare. By contrast with other venues in the town - where it is so cramped you are practically sitting on the laps of the next diners - the place is light airy and modern with each table enjoying its own space. It has a up market feel without being 'sniffy' . Do try it - you won't be disappointed.
