Harry Ramsden's

I think it's first class. Recently been refurbished and makes it more in keeping with Brighton. The food is great and the staff are well trained.

Sorry, but Harry Ramsden's is too much like second rate pub food. The meal I had was worse than what I could produce at home from supermarket produce. Not good value for money. I would have forgiven the old fashioned decor and menu if the food had been of the quality that HR boasts about.

Service is average at best, moody and indifferent at worst.

If you're still living in the 1970s and expect very average food, this is pretty good.

I live in Brighton. I have a very large family and they all visit me three or four times every year. None of my family live in Brighton. Each of my family has had a meal in your restaurant, - and, EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM SAID - "Never again; I`m still hungry; the portions are so small, it iis VERY poor value!!!!!!"

I have visited your restaurant with my daughter and I thoroughly agree with their comments.

Honestly, I have eaten in various local brighton fish & chip establishments and have felt cheated. One place that I visited, served me a plat of gerkins as a starter!!!!!

If you want lively banter and a good decent sized portion of fish & chips then get yourself to Harrys!!!

Funny place, not really for Brighton people. Just the tourist and day trippers that think Brighton consists of the Pier and want to eat fish and chips. I have to walk passed there sometimes and see the 'robo tourist' there. Wearing adidas tracksuits with beer bellies its easy to see why people who live in that area get in there car and drive to Bankers or Bardleys for Fish and Chips. They still remember the time they couldnt be bothered to drive and got stuck in Harry's queue for 25 minutes then waited another 15 minutes for the smallest cod and below average chips. The last 3rd of it in the bin proving it must have been bad.

well... sorry but... where do I begin? service - shoddy, food - cold and takes an age even though - apparently- cooked fresh to order, restaurant dirty, english is not the first language of any of the staff and there are problems communicating, management brusque bordering on aggressive. All in all not a pleasant experience
