The food was fine but nothing special and it was rather over priced. Service was good, but the manageress was difficult to deal with (there was mistake on the bill). Ambience and decor is what sets Blenio apart from the others and this remains high, however there are plenty of other bistros in Brighton serving far superior food.

Had a nice meal here recently. Service a bit slow but friendly. They got our bill wrong and it was a pain to get them to sort it out properly. It almost spoilt our evening.

We really like Thursday fish & chip night at Blenios. This place is always welcoming, intimate and relaxed. The food is always fresh and delicious and the service genuine, friendly and efficient. We think it's a real gem for Brighton and as local residents to the Dials, it feels like a real neighbourhood eatery. Am always recommending people to go there.

We went to Blenio for Sunday lunch as we'd read reviews that said it was the best in Brighton. We weren't disappointed.

I had the slow roast belly of pork and it was everything I was hoping for. The portion of meat (with crackling) was a good size and was served with apple sauce, gravy, roast potatoes, brocolli, cabbage and mashed carrot and swede. The meat was delicious, melt in the mouth gorgeousness and the vegetables were not over cooked and complemented each other perfectly. I couldn't quite finish my lunch - there was so much to it and it was quite rich.

My partner had roast beef, which was served with courgettes, yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, brocolli and gravy. He didn't leave anything on his plate. The meat was lean and tasty and done to perfection. We loved the fact that it wasn't a standard roasted meat with the same vegetables for all - each dish had it's own veggies that complemented the meat.

We had a carafe of red wine and tap water to go with the food.

The staff were lovely, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was very relaxed and warm. The decor wasn't all to my taste but wasn't offensive in the least.

The price of the meal was very reasonable - approx £11 per roast plus wine.

All in all I would highly recommend this bistro for a sunday roast. The next time I'm in Brighton on a Sunday I will definitely be heading back here again.

I had lunch at Blenio last weekend. It was wonderful. The staff were attentive and friendly without being "in your face" and the food was sublime. That sounds abit grand, but this place is really down to earth, with good value for money quality food that is interesting without being pretentious. I loved it.

My husband and I are new-ish to Brighton but we've squeezed in quite a few meals at Blenio already. It's a real find! Wonderful for lunch - their menu is compact yet varied and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff are really friendly and lovely and the decor is fresh and inspiring. I highly recommend their Sunday lunches.

Food lovely, waitresses fantastic but the head waitress or mangeress is just awful. Fake and irritating she needs to learn some hospitality skills.
