Dear Gigi and all the staff

Just a big thank you for a wonderful evening last Saturday 18th October. I was part of the table of 11 for the surprise 50th Birthday for my boyfriend.

Our main waiter Andrew was fantastic. So helpful with recommending the wines and food. Also very friendly and professional.

The food was fantastic. I had the signature dish of pasta and lobster, which was exquisite.

We will recommend Zillis, Brighton to all our friends and hope to come again for our next special occasion.

On Thursday 16/10 we booked lunch for a special occasion. Our arrival coincided with the arrival of a group of approx. 12 to whom we were immediately relegated to second place by the Maitre D with a cursory acknowledgement before being shown to a table. The starters were okay but the main courses were uninteresting/unattractive and totaly bland and the Mushroom Ravioli consisted of just 8 pieces of ravioli and the Risotto a most awful mauve 'blob'.

Especially disappointing was the 'signature' dish of Lobster Spaghetti at £19.50 which was utterly tasteless, contained half a thumbnail of Lobster in the spaghetti and presented on a totally empty half lobster shell and the whole covered in a bland, watery lobster bisque. On complaining, the sous chef agreed with our comments, when asked where the head chef was we were told, ..."his wife had a baby yesterday"...!!!!! and wasn't there.

Although the wine was beautiful and well served we shall never eat at any Zilli establishment again nor recommend it to our wide circle of dining friends.

Excellent service and a funky modern interior, however my main was a little dissapointing (black cod), lacking in flavour, although it did look pretty. However the rest of my party seemed generally positive, although there are plenty of other, less expensive, equally as nice restaurants in Brighton and Hove.

Dark chocolate fondant dessert was devine however!

I can quite honestly say that Zilli is a place i shall be going back to. Excellent food & a friendly service. Yes, some dishes on the menu are expensive, but at £11 the lobster ravioli was divine, both in value for money & in its taste sensation.

The rib-eye steak together with a fresh home-made horseradish sauce danced on the tastebuds - fantastic.

The loos are an experience too. Just be careful of that mirror!

Fabulous restaurant, great food and service. Excellent menu and wine selection. The staff are friendly, a little OTT but I guess that's what you expect from such a restaurant. It's definitely worth the money, about time Brighton had such a place!

For me, it was the most enjoyable dinner party I’ve ever thrown. I usually don’t relax because I’m so worried of the quality and delivery! We were seated at the back area on the booths...What a luxury! – I was actually able to spend time talking to my guests knowing that everything was under control. The service were very discrete. few little mistakes, but been just opened, i have no doubt that this restaurant will be a success in Brighton field. The food was beautifully presented and tasted wonderful, very simple to understand and well executed. I’ll definitely be recommending you to all my friends.
