I used to come here every time I came to Brighton, and I was always served by the Brazilian guy and By Lu both with such a big smile. The last time I went there was just teens serving and wasnt that good. However, the food still amazing!!!

I went to this Fish and Chip shop for the first time in November for my birthday and loved it; the fish and chips were really lovely, perfectly steamed inside the batter and not one dodgy chip on the plate!

BUT Having raved about it to anyone that would listen, I went back this Saturday with my Dad; he was really looking forward to it. We arrived at 8pm only to be told that the restaurant was closed, which seemed a bit odd as it was a Saturday night and there were plenty of empty tables, when I asked if they could fit us in and that we really didn't mind waiting, the owner basically told me that he had eighty fish and chips to cook, presumably a take away order for somebody, and that he 'didn't really need it' that is mine and my Dad's business, I was really gobsmacked. Now it is clear from all of the reviews that this place is making a lot of money and is doing well in a town that is awash with great restaurants, but I think the arrogant owner needs to take care not to get too carried away and remember how he makes his money, that is through good customers and I, would imagine, a good deal of word of mouth. When you head out for dinner on a Saturday night, you don’t expect to be made to feel like an inconvenience. I would never go back to this restaurant and I won’t be recommending it to anyone either.

Was a bit put off walking to this restaurant as the area it is in is, well, not in keeping with the main part of Brighton, shall we say!

However, this place is clean, friendly and welcoming. The staff were polite but interacting with the customers, having a laugh and a joke.

The food was very, very good. Fresh fish, prepared and cooked to order. Chips were good too, and so was the curry sauce!

A little pricey, but not silly. £3 for chip shop chips did seem expensive, but when they came they were well worth it!

I would definitely recommend eating here, but if you are going after 7pm you need to book

Went here recently with my girlfriend, great food, great service.

If you not sure what to choose, I recommend the Bardsley's platter. Grilled seabass worth trying.

Service is good too, very nice people.

12 of us went to eat at this restaurant based on what I had read from reviews and we were not disappointed, food was fresh and hot when served and we recommend you all try when in Brighton.
