I live within one minute of Bardsley's.

DANGEROUS!

We all watch the joyless Dr Gillian, we all join a gym, we all hope to lose weight. But the only way to look younger is to put on weight, one stone on anyone pushes out the wrinkles and gives a youthfull glow.

I'm not sugesting a daily visit. REALLY.

But once a week/month......you can't go wrong.

Bardsley's works and it is much more than fish n' chips.

GO, enjoy and f*** the diet.

Andy

Nobody does fish and chips like Bardsleys I've been going there since I was in my pushchair. Quality fresh fish, divine chips and all the banter and cheek from proprietor Roy - who ever you are and wherever you come from you can be assured of a warm welcome, excellent service and fantastic food.

There is nothing to fault here. Clearly, the food is prepared expertly, and with a passion. Cooked to perfection, and served with all the class and warmth you could only ever hope for. This family run establishment deserves all the plaudits it gets from the sunday mags and various international press, cuttings proudly displayed around the place. I have been on numerous occasions to eat in, and take away, ok I'm local, but never once do you ever get the sense of anyone resting on laurels, from the greeting you get when you walk through the door, to honest cheerio as you leave.

Well known as the best fish and chips in Brighton. I've lived all over the UK and this place is the best I have ever tried. They do not let their standards drop despite their success. The winning combination is fantastic food without being pretentious. This is no "Gastro" Chippy, you'll find builders and city gents rubbing shoulders and everybody feel comfortable thanks to the friendly staff. I go there to remind myself that there is still some sanity in this mad world..and the fish and chips ofcourse.

Fresh, fresh fish and chips cooked in clean oil served by attentive staff and a warm greeting from Roy, the owner, all combine to make this Brighton's best chippie. You can opt to have your fish steamed if you're looking for a healthy option. Daily fresh catches are written on the blackboards with different sized portions to accommodate all appetites. You even have a choice of dining areas - the non-smoking side has comfy padded chairs and the simple smoking side offers tables and benches. Very child friendly, too.
