The service here was truly appalling. We were continuously ignored by staff.
It took 20 minutes to bring our water, and we asked twice. Ditto for a missing butter knife. We then had to leave the table and search for someone to ask to take our order – it total we had been waiting for about 40 minutes; all the staff had disappeared, or were skilled in avoiding eye contact.
Starters all came promptly and tasted OK.
Main courses were a different story. Of the 3 steaks ordered, all were served lukewarm, and none were cooked to order, all were well done. Another meal, the special, was served cold, and had to sent back.
Would no go here again. Very disappointing and not cheap. No excuses for this, there were only about 6 covers on a Saturday night.

Four of us went there a few months ago for an evening.
We started with cocktails which were very expensive took a long time to serve, we not all served at the same time and were not very good. In fact one of them was so bad it should have been sent back. The barman was clearly inexperienced at making cocktails. A bad start.
The food was OK but unmemorable. The atmosphere was cold except for the library which is a great place in which to have coffee. Service was OK.
Prices were high.
All in all poor value. I wouldn't go again.
