I had dinner there with my partner Saturday night, and it was the worst dining experience we've had in years. The wait staff were all very unfriendly, incompetent and unhelpful. Our waitress in particular was downright rude and made the evening miserable.

The food was really nice, but it's not worth the horrid experience.

That last reviewer must have eaten in a different restaurant? We've just had an excellent meal there!!

There are very few decent places to eat in Brighton and Hove but this is definitely one restaurant worth booking a table at. The food is well above average, the service friendly, the atmosphere is good, and it's good value for money.

Faults? Can be a bit slow sometimes - a three/four course meal can take an hour and half to two hours. It can also be a little noisy if there is a raucous bunch on a nearby table.

Plus points? The food is excellent - well prepared, well presented, and is what you'd expect from a decent London brasserie at three times the price, so in Hove, it's a find and great value. Service is friendly, attentive, without being intrusive. Fellow diners seemed to be relaxed and enjoying themselves - hence a good atmosphere.

If you haven't been before, try it!
