My second experience with "The Frog"...as good as the first time!!!

This time, just my partner and I...

We took the 3 course menu, home made smoked salmon...fantastic!

and a really interesting marinated tuna as starters.

Celeriac and ginger bread mille feuille (v) and guinea fowl stuffed with crayfish two mains out of this world, taste, presentation...everything was there!!!

I am not telling you any more, you'll have to go and see by yourself...

just a quick comment on the previous comment about paying for bread...

It is sad that you don't reconize good bread and butter... keep eating your over priced frozen garlic bread!!!

Finally a good French restaurant in brighton&Hove

I've been there with a few friends, and we all enjoyed the experience.

We ate from the A la Carte menu, a fantastic range of french products:

Snails, frog legs as starter... filet de Boeuf Rossini, the chef's special (Cassoulet De Toulouse) and Lobster Thermidor that we had to pre-order when we booked the table a few days before... all of this followed by the crepes suzette "Flambee" of course...

As a french myself, I had the feeling to be back home...great atmosphere, amazing and friendly Staff...I'll be back!!!

Je conseille ce restaurant a tous les amateurs de bonne cuisine Francaise!

At last............the restaurant I've been waiting for. My husband and I work together, work late and want to enjoy a good, not too expensive meal on our way home. The Arrogant Frog really fits the bill ( excuse the pun.. ) we enjoy fantastic food in a very relaxed but friendly atmosphere and get very good value for money. This restaurant offers very high quality food , the dishes are innovative with fantastic complimentary flavours, not the norm, and the presentation is some of the best I've seen, and we travel the world so are not short on experiences........ All the staff are French who really know their stuff and nothing is too much trouble.

This restaurant can be visited if it is a very special occassion you are celebrating,but, equally it's great for the likes of us mid week diners who want a bit of quality and style on a more casual level.

The menu gives great choice too for all tastes, so hurry up and make it down there, soon it will be harder to get in. You won't regret it.

I went to the Arrogant Frog on 26th December. I was staying with friends in Hove and we were looking for something different from the usual "high street restaurants". This certainly didnt disappoint - I was a little unsure at first as Im not a great lover of french food, but Im glad that didnt deter me.

The staff are all French and far from arrogant....they are very knowledgeable and very helpful when making our choices. The seabass was beautiful, fresh and cooked to perfection and great to having something not straight from the microwave as is becoming the norm with many places. They really know their wine too - I had a fantastic Sauvignon Blanc on their recommendation which went perfectly with all our dishes.

All in all this was a great find....I travel a great deal and this is as good as restaurants ive been to in London, and good value for money.

I'll definitely go again next time im in the area.

I am very surprised from the comment made on the 12th December...!

I 've had my Christmas diner at The Arrogant Frog on that evening of the 12th of December, and all my team was very pleased with their Christmas meal.

I found the the food, the service and the staffs OUTSTANDING and i will recommend The arrogant Frog to all people who enjoy good food and good wine, the others can stay at home eating eggs and chips, this is my view with regards to the review of "X" on the 12th December....

Have a good Christmas and New year to all the staffs and boss of The Arrogant Frog xxx will see you at the New Year.

We went to the Arrogant Frog, never has a name been more suited.

Average food over priced as you would expect in Hove. In the end they to charge for more than we had ordered. A common practice by restaurants when they believe that you are drunk when actually you are just in high spirits. VERY Disappointing, nothing special, I shall not go back!

My husband and I had a most enjoyable birthday meal at The Arrogant Frog. The food was exquisite in both quality and presentation! My partner is a seafood lover and I am not such a fan as he. I was delighted to finally find a restaurant which can cater for both palates to such a high standard. The wine was beautiful, the service was excellent. All in all, I would definitely recommend this restaurant, if not only for the crepes Suzette!
