This is such a beautifully done restaurant, especially the fireplace turned into a wine shelf, the mirrors and the chandelier. We had Sunday lunch with my future mother-in-law to celebrate her birthday and the food was just exquisite. The staff are very familiar in a good way and even though it is a fine restaurant, the atmosphere is very cozy.

Had a fabulous meal at Graze on Thursday and felt compelled to write them a thank you here. To be honest, we always slightly dread our work trips to Brighton as, not being local, we're not familiar with good places to eat but a friend recommended Graze and we've now been five times and love it. I like the concept of having several small plates because, for people like me who have menu confusion wanting everything listed!, you are able to opt for more than the usual starter and main. Great idea. We will be back!

I like this restaurant a lot. It's got a really special take on modern european cuisine, with some really interesting British flourishes and a good wine list. The Sunday Lunch is thoroughly excellent. I recommend the Sirloin beef and Yorkshire puddings which are both sublime.

A large group of us ate in the Regency Room last night (July 12). The atmosphere was friendly, the staff were very helpful, and the food was an absolute delight. I'd definitely go there again, but yes, it is pricey and the portions aren't large, but it's about taste, and full of flavour it is. Excellent for vegetarians, too.

On recommendation we booked 2 days in advance to celebrate a birthday. On arrival they said they had overbooked and tried to contact us to cancel. They had my mobile number and email address but no message received. Eventually conceded they were too busy to follow it up. They offered to let us remain but needed our table by 9.00pm (then 7.40) - which they extended to 9.15. As a Saturday and finding alternative difficult had little option but to stay. The olives ordered never arrived. Courgette soup on cold side and some croutons burnt. King prawns and sole were good. Mutton again quite cold. Being a pudding person and looking forward to desert we were told table now needed and therefore they could not serve a desert. We were moved to a corner of the restaurant by the bar (under hot lamp standard) and provided with coffee (on the house). Surprised to find 12.5 service charge included on bill. For first time I can remember refused to pay this charge. Throughout the stay we felt we were an inconvenience and found the experience "unfortunate and a little bizarre". Needless to say will not be returning or encouraging friends to. Would recommend proprietors place the care of customers above the need to make a quick buck!

I was rather disappointed with the food – for a tasting menu, I expect it to be better than excellent. As I die-hard carnivore, I was surprised to find that my preferred course was the courgette soup. Portions were certainly on the mean side and even after seven courses I expect to be slightly full and they were extremely tight with the accompanying wine (some of which was pretty poor). I felt decidedly stitched up when I coughed up £90 a head – this includes the recommended wine at 75ml per person per course – not even three quarters of a bottle for the whole meal (the ingredients can’t have cost more than a fiver a head!)! I’ve been to much better restaurants for well under half that price. I wouldn’t recommend it although on the plus side, the service was friendly and attentive without being annoying.

Great atmosphere, but that was the company. The tasting menu looked great and the food was ok but I was so dissapointed by the wine. It was supposed to match the food but it was the same for the veggie option, and 1 bottle per course for 11 of us, that is less than 1/2 a glass each and for the princely sum of £90 per head.

We asked for more wine and was told we had to pay for it! You would have thought that as we were paying £1000 between us they could have stretched to 2 bottles!

I ate here last night with a group of friends, and was extremely impressed ! The waiter was attentive but not obtrusive, and the food was excellent ..I will definitely be returning.

Really lovely little place, always seems to be full. It's a lovely restaurant that's great for a romantic meal but manages to be laid back at the same time. We've been twice already and it's definitely somewhere to keep returning to - they change the menu fairly frequently.
