Graze

Went to Graze this evening (thurs 27th May) and had the usual fabulous food and excellent service. The evening was spoiled however by three cackling women at a table in the centre of the room. Graze is small so when people are noisy it fills the room. These three horrendous women got drunker and louder as the evening went on. They were so loud that we couldn't hear our own conversation and I really pitied the poor couple sitting next to them. Unfortunately no attempt was made to quiet them and the noise was truly intrusive.

I have been going to Graze since it opened but this is the first time I haven't enjoyed the evening. It will be a while until I can face going back.

Shame really as we went for the grazing menu and the food was as good as ever.

Visited Graze last weekend and had a super time. As usual the food was absolutely delicious, Had the scallops and lemon grass parfait which really

was lovely and quite different. The service was excellent and I cannot wait

to return. Thanks very much for a perfect experience.

I have been luck enough to eat at Graze at least five times now and it is consistently the best dining experience in Brighton/Hove.

Even in a town like this, it's hard to find vegetarian food which is treated with as much care and thought as meat or fish courses so it is always a delight to be able to indulge myself at Graze.

The tasting menu with the excellently matched wine choices is a rare treat and always finely balanced.

I love the decor and the convivial yet highly professional staff who provide do everything to make your evening perfect.

I would absolutely recommend the Graze experience to anyone as the menu is so varied and refined.

I was very disappointed in my experience of eating at this restaurant. Myself and my partner went for 1 vegetarian and 1 meat tasting menu to share. The food was mediocre at best and bland and very salty at worst. The bill came to £100 which frankly the food did not warrant this amount.

Graze is by far my favorite restaurant in Brighton. My partner and I save it for special occasions and the half dozen times we went (even the time we argued throughout the meal) we have absolutely always loved the food.

Having living in Brighton and Hove for nearly a decade now I have done quite a bit of eating out and there have been some nice places to get nosh - Due South used to be ace - but right now and for the about three years it has been about Graze has been our favorite.

We went last night and had the taster menu's (Vegetarian for her and Seasonal for me - roundabout £35 per person) that was 6 courses (I think) and then some lovely wine on top. The French Onion soup was the best I have ever had... er, including in France! and the Pork Belly dish was also fantastic. However, the Quail Kiev stole the show.

Personally i couldnt recommend it more.

I just wanted to say how dissapointed I was with my birthday meal at Gaze.

My main course was so salty it was inedible! I did receive an apology,but that is as far as it went!

I also felt that unless you were a regular diner you did not receive the same level

of service.

I also thought it unnessecary to charge 12% service(10% is surley adequate)

I will not be returning to Gaze!

I have eaten in Graze numerous times both for midweek lunch, evening meals and Sunday Lunch. today, I was pleased to hear that they are now opening all day on Sunday, so I'm able to go there for a late lunch, after a heavy Saturday night.

The food served is excellently executed, the portions are of a reasonable size, not too big, but not leaving you hungry, and the taste combinations are to die for.

I cannot fault the attentiveness of the waiting staff and always leave feeling full after eating great quality food and being treated like I am their most important customer, although I am confident that they treat regulars and one off diners the same.

Overall, this is a good quality restaurant that makes you feel at home and is reasonable priced for what is provided.

I will definately continue returning to this restaurant.

I recently went here with a party. Our experience was woeful. The service was slow and unpredictable and the food was vastly over-priced for what it was. Not a patch on, for example, Terre a Terre. The worst aspect was the attitude of the owner, extremely arrogant.

We went here last week for a special occasion. It was FABULOUS. The food was gorgeous (especially the goats cheese parcel) - we had the vegetarian taster 7 course menu - and we also chose to have the wines to go with each course. I wouldn't ever have the tasting menu without it now. It was completely gorgeous, the wines were delectable and went fantastically with the food. Service was excellent. Highly recommended. Yes its pricey, but worth it.

I agree with the comment below - I went on Saturday and now can't wait to go back! Truly delicious food, impeccable service and a really nicely decorated restaurant. I really can't fault Graze at all. Home made (free) bread was also fantastic. Don't be put off by the idea that it is tapas (like I was for years) - it's more like eating lots of starters, which I think is the best bit of a meal anyway so to be able to have 3 or 4 is a brilliant idea! 10/10.
