Istanbul Barbecue

One of the few places where you can have a lamb shawarma. Most places only sell Lamb in the form of doner and shish, not shawarma.
The in-store baked bread is excellent and so is the satsuka (forgive the spelling) and their chilli sauce. The turkish pizza is nice and I like the tea as well.
Only negative is the place does not seem to be kept very clean, especially the public areas.

I have mainly only eaten kebabs in here but they are best in town by far cooked on an authentic Turkish charcoal BBQ. The bread which you get free with meals/made for pizza bases is freshly made and baked right there in the BBQ area of the restaurant.
Turkish tea is served free with most meals and there are authentic Turkish Pizzas as well as conventional Pizzas on the menu.
Value is excellent - staff are friendly and always happy to see you if you go a lot like myself.
I also know for a fact that one of the guys who owns the Golden Grill take-aways sneaks down here for a lot of his meals which says a lot!
In my opinion the chef's specials in the windows are nice but not way above the competition like the shish kebabs.
The place is overdue some refurbishment which is the only reason I can think off more people don't know about it.
