Cripes Creperie

Surely someone must be able to adopt the winning formula that was once Cripes! Unless I am mistaken, (and please tell me if I am) there has never been anything near to replacing this excellent restaurant of yester-year. Many is the time that my wife, children and I returned to this restaurant in the hope that its closure was only temporary.

The food was formulaic and predictable in the most excellent sense. You knew you were in for a good meal, in unpretentious surrounding even before you arrived, and you were never disappointed.

Somewhere out there are the people who made Cripes!; its food, its warmth, its rustic charm, its casual yet vibrant atmosphere.

Surely this has not been totally lost? I would willingly drive to Edinburgh to recapture the enjoyment this restaurant once provided to so many.
