Carluccio's Caffe

Loved how Carluccio had a deli and shop in the restaurant, all layed out perfectly. Alot of families when I went on a Friday night, not off putting, the atmosphere around seemed very upbeat and had a relaxing and casual feel to it. Very Italian cuisine, has a good choice of meat. I, being a vegetarian still had a good selection and enjoyed the grilled vegetable salad. Had a good selection of Italian food, not just the usual. Dessert, perhaps the best Italian I have had. Too many to choose from! Had ice cream with a choice of espresso or liquor to pour over it, real Italian ice cream. Dessert menu had choices from an ice cream pancake to their traditional tiramisu. very friendly and chatty waiters. Defiantly worth another visit!

this restaurant, in mine opinion, is only good if you have a plate of pasta.
My mistake to order calf liver, only good for the bin, the seabas only OK.
i will not use carluccio ever again.
the service extremely good

The food here is average and the service good - considering that waiting staff are only paid £3.75 an hour, with tips used to make it up to the minimum wage!
Eat elsewhere if you have a conscience.

Went there for lunch and had the big plate of antipasta. The food was a little expensive but very good quality and really tasty. Service was friendly and surprisingly quick considering they were almost full. I'd definitely like to go there again to try some different dishes.

So happy that Carluccios opened a cafe in Brighton.. the food is superb and although the cafe is a little noisy if you want an intimate meal for two, it has a great buzz which means its excellent for bigger parties. Very child-friendly too. Staff are sweet and attentive. Excellent value too.

I was completely mesmerised at the wonderment that ensued on my visit to Carluccio's last night. The service was extremely professional, and very cheerful.
The antipasti (meat and veggy) were a delight on the taste buds. My main course which followed, Calves Liver with Rosemary Potatoes, was cooked to perfection. It just melted on the taste buds. My friends opted for the Sword Fish. I tasted a bit, and the flavours complimented each other perfectly!
I shall definitely be back, I felt like I had dined in a little corner of Italy that night!
Cheers for the experience!
