This is a very lovely place for me to have dinner. Once that I had tried some take away foods, I found that was so lovely, the staffs was well recommend and good value foods. So I looking forward to have a lovely dinner there.

Its easy to look at a restaurant only on the portion size. I have been going to Thai Connection on and off for three years and keep coming back. It is the nearest thing to the food you get in Thailand. I have noticed no reduction in size however I have noticed other restaurants going down the route of pile it high and sell it cheap, when you eat in Thailand you get many small portions to contrast your meal rather than bulk yourself out on piles of noodles or rice. By eating take away you miss out on the best thing in the place (the staff). Go there when it's quiet and you can end up chatting about Thai life style and customs or find out what it's like to be Thai living in England. In this "all about me" culture we live in its nice to interact and feel like you're in a Thai run establishment.

We used to live round the corner from this restaurant and were regular customers, finding the food consistently wonderful. We returned last night for a take-away after a year or so and whilst the food was still of a very high standard, I feel compelled to remark on how small the portions have become, which make the food very poor value for money! (I have a small appetite but found that my delicious curry of a handful of small prawns and NO added vegetables didn't even touch the sides of my stomach). With increased competition in the area (e.g Red Snapper, Mai Ped Ped), Thai Connection cannot offord to ruin its reputation with unreasonably small portions. We'll be back when we hear you've become a little more generous.

This is the first ever review i have done on this website and i am sad to start off with a bad one! I saw alot of good reviews for this restaraunt so thought i would give it a go with my girlfriend. Straightaway with the starters. I oppted for the Golden Basket, as the name and food looked quite nice. They were more like golden c**p baskets, seriously. The menu and the waiter said they would have chicken pieces in them but as me and my girlfriend examined ours, we could not find a trace, just pure vegatable. Onto the main course, i asked for a kind of duck and noodle mix as a main course as i know some chinese/thai places do. The waiter did not explain properly that if i wanted this i would have to have the Whole Crispy Duck platter for 12.95 which does not even come with pancakes, i must add. And the waiter said i must order seperate noodles which i did. The noodles were so small and in such tiny portions, that when they did arrive i was so disappointed. My girlfriend ordered a prawn dish which came to £5.95, we counted only 6 small prawns in there, and that dish not not even come with rice, just on its own. To top things off i had to ask 3 different waiters for some chilli sauce with my meal and when they came over they gave me the smallest pot with sweet and sour sauce, what a let down!!!

I usually am quite civilised & never complain in places, but i was ready to walk out and not pay for anything. I did complain to all the staff, it would have been the manager but he was not around. And i let them all know about how i felt about the whole experince, which was c**p. They only offered me a 10% discount. I left very sad and disappionted about the whole thing. I will not be going there again.

We have been using this exquisit restaurant for several years now and freely recommend this restaurant to all our aquaintances, friends and collegues.

Whether you are looking for a Business meal, family meal or even a romantic meal this little place fits the bill ideally.

Its staff are all very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The food is probably the best that I have ever tasted out of the many restaurants that I have visited.( I fully recommend the Thai Connection Crispy Duck with pad thai noodles :-) )

The Food is delightful, well presented with generous helpings, You will need to be hungry to feast the whole three courses.

We ate at the Thai Connection recently and we found the service to be indifferent and the food seriously poor. The presentaion was dull and overall the value for money was very disappointing. We will not be going back !!!!

We went here on 29th December and it was excellent. The food was really gorgeous, with everything you'd expect to find on a traditional Thai menu, plus some extras. The staff were really lovely, attentive, polite and helped my friend out who had some particularly specific dietary requests. I would highly reccommend this place to anyone that loves Thai food - and having been to Thailand twice, I'm certain it's authentic and not some weird Brit version!!

Really nice food and good value for money. The set menu we ordered was lovely and the portions large! Service was friendly and doesn't become ragged when they get busy on a Saturday night. If you like Thai food, you'll love this place. Highly recommended - I will be back!
