Marrocco’s

Don't expect anything smart or modern. Marroccos is like stepping back in time with formica tables and diner-style seating. The food is not high style dining either. What its great for is comfort food following a grey blustery winters walk along the beach. Family run, with Italian specials, including lots of ice cream flavourt - some food is freshly cooked, other meals seem to be heated up. I noticed it was open on Christmas day - which could be fun. Recommended are the mushrooms on toast - freshly cooked with herbs - and a steaming mug of tea. A cheap, pleasurable treat.
