We were recommended this restaurant by the barman in the hotel we were staying at,what a mistake,my husband 2 children and myself. On arrival we were greeted and served by a pleasant waiter, the food was fine although overpriced, our problems occcured towards the end of the evening when I noticed the waitress constantly staring over at our table,my children are aged 8 and 11 and certainly know how to behave in a restaurant,as there was only another 2 tables in the restaurant I would have imagined they would have been happy for the buisness, obviously not,my son had not finished the last mouthful of his desert when we were presented with the bill without asking for it,I had particularly wanted to try the Indian tea but this request was totally ignored, the waitress continued to stare rudely at our table. We were made to feel very uncomfortable our evening was totally ruined with a £86 bill!!!!I have never expirenced service like this before and I can only think this waitress is children phobic.I am disgusted at this customer service and would definatly not recommend

We fought a heavy head wind to visit this lovely restaurant but it was worth the effort. The decor is modern and fresh but warm and soothing and the food can be described similarly. The Papadi Chaat was full of flavour and the Masala dosa was more subtley spiced but very tastey. Some of the starters - such as Masala Dosa - would make good main courses in larger portions. Chilly brocolli paneer was tangy and spicey and the Hariyali Seabass was melt in the mouth although I was less keen on the potatoes and mint raita. The pallette of flavours such as mustard seeds, curry leaves, and fennel made each dish authentically south indian. My favourite restaurant in London is the South Indian vegetarian 'Rasa' so this had a lot to live up to but didn't disappoint.

With this restaurant at the end of out road I had been dying to try it for ages so we went last year for a special night out with my friend who was pregnant at the time. Despite the restaurant being empty she was seated right by the door with a terrible draft coming in. The owner/waitress? was very abrupt and made us feel as if it was an honour that she had actually allowed us to sit down at the table. The food was nice enough but not worth the terrible service we received. We were constantly reminded that they needed out table at 9pm for another party but by the time we left there was still no one else in the restaurant. We were given the desert menu and when my friend went to order her sweet we were again reminded that she only had 15 minutes in which to eat it the whole experience left a sour taste and we have not been back.
