Hove Tandoori

Love the food and atmosphere here! Finally found a good little Indian restaurant in the area, and would defo recommend going there to everyone.

Such a disappointment. We ordered chicken bhuna and chicken rogan from Hove Tandoori as a takeaway. Both dishes were watery, with plenty of over cooked chicken but no spice or flavour at all. Will not be eating here again

i live 27 miles away and drive once a month to have a fantastic meal in hove tandoori. The service is great, the food is the best and served fresh each time to my likeing. The atmosphere is always very pleasant and welcoming.

My brother and I visit this restaurant on a regular basis as it is very good. The staff do their best to accommodate us and the food is always first class.

The restaurant is not that big but who cares when the food is so good and plentiful!!!

I would love to review the food at Hove Tandoori as in 8 years of living in Brighton I still have not found a half-decent Indian restaurant.

I had read that the food at Hove Tandoori was good so I went there before Christmas with my Wife to have our annual works lunch. The restaurant was empty but they said they would be fully booked in about half an hour so would not serve us. Understandable but frustrating.

I phoned them for Takeaway in the following week. They would not deliver to Queens Park Road from Hove. Still no joy.

The 29th December was our wedding anniversary. I phoned at 11:30 to ask if they were open for lunch. They said they were. I asked if I needed to book a table and they said I did not but last orders were at 1:30 as they shut at two.

Once again we set off across town looking forward to a good curry. When we arrived the man (who I am sure is the same person who I spoke to on the phone) said it was Take Away only. Naturally, I was extremely annoyed and I really let him have it with both barrels. He did not seem particularly bothered even after I told him he had ruined my wedding anniversary.

So after three attempts at tasting their wares I will never ever try again and my business is lost for good.

Very rude and unhelpful people. Whatever you do don't believe a word they say on the phone.

Having ordered a takeaway at 7.30pm, and not recieved it by 8.30pm, we then rang the restaurant only to be spoken to by a rude worker who said that the delivery man had been and went, as no-one had answered the door. We had been in the flat all night and had our phone by our side and so wouldn't have missed the delivery man. We rang back to speak to the manager and were met with appalling rudeness and a waiter who was not listening to our complaints and kept repeating the same phrase over and over again. We eventually found out that the restaurant had taken the wrong address and sent the driver to a completely different house. They then claimed someone was outside the right house and when we went outside there was no one there. Without a hint of apology they put the phone down. We then recieved a call from the restaurant 1/2 an hour later (by which time we had already ordered from another curry house) to offer an apology and a discount on our food, unfortunately it was too late and they have lost a loyal customer.

We couldnt be happier, friendly staff, food was gorgeous, the restaurant was very busy the service was still efficient and quick. A little on the expensive side but all in all we would definitely recommend.

Rubbish and expensive, 2 hours late, cold and oily, 3/4 of food went in the bin, after a 2 hours of trying to contacting them and get a call back regarding the state of the order finally got the manager to agree to a refund (even offered them to take there food back)

Also got someone elses order within ours.

Do not recommend.

A very good Indian restaurant, good service and generous portions. We would certainly recommend Hove Tandoori to others and go back there ourselves.
