your comments review this restaurant

Myself and my wife have just returned from this restaurant, we went solely on the advice of the reviews on this site. First impressions were not great as the restaurant is very dated in respect of the decor and overall feel.

The food I am happy to say was extremely good and the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient.

As far as price is concerned....again top marks. 2 starters, 2 main courses and a couple of side dishes plus a £16 bottle of wine and a large bottle of water, total bill £55 which I thought was extremely reasonable.

Summing up, the food is great but I wouldn't recommend it if you're taking a new date and want to impress her.

food was delicious , service was brilliant except the man who took our order couldn explain properly the differnce between the meat or lamb tikka... but except that everythin else was excellent top notch i recommend this place to anyone who oves curry

actually this is actually a palatial place to dine...

anyone who likes a difference try the chatga prawnsa house speciallity its what they say trully magnificent, mouth watering king prawns, marinated in a mixture of spices & cooked in a clay oven. Curried in a medium hot sauce...

i was recomended by my work mates

to visit the jewel of hove, so i did.

first of all we were greeted with a big smile before we were seated near the window. the service was excellent specially because the young man who took our order, explained all my questions about which curry i should have without a hussle, and he had a sense of humour not like other waiters.

after about 25 mins our food arrived.

the food was absoulatley delicious, i had murgh sylheti house speciallity dish which was mouth watering you can tell its just been cooked fresh from fresh ingrediants. my partner had the lamb satkora another house speciallity which was extremlly succulent. the lamb was so tender and flavourable.

so all in all Curry mahal Is the jewel of hove...

Fantastic food that tastes equally as good if it is delivered to your home or eaten in the restaurant. Staff are always friendly and helpful. A great example of value for money.

It wasnt all that people make out. The food was okish but had better. The keema naan, well the meat inside wasnt even cooked properly, yet they charged us, even though we told them about this. I had a byrani and the rice kinda was over cooked. bit soggyish. And it is expensive whether its the food or drink. Service is crap. The starters came really late. after nearly 45 min. when you ask the waiter to give you a moment to choose your food from menu, they just stay behind you, and made me feel pressured to choose straight away. No smile on any waiters.
