This is definitely one of the hidden gems of brighton which I luckily live close to!! Delicious food at really low cost and very attentive service. You literally can order as many dishes as you like and get four courses for only £15! And they don't rip you off with your drinks either. It's always rammed so you're guaranteed a good atmosphere (just don't go if you looking for a quiet candlelit dinner!).

i went to the oriental village on a friday night a couple of weeks ago after reading about it on here and thought surely it cant be as good as everyone says, but, low and behold it was blooming fantastic!!! the staff were friendly and attentive the atmosphere was good despite it being very busy and the food was to die for! the mixed platter is a must but every dish we tried (and we tried nearly all of them!) was as good as the last! definatly try here if you love chinese food!

This place is fantastic! The food is simply superb. The service is very attentive, whilst never being imposing. The staff are friendly & always make time for you - and as word gets out they're becoming increasingly busy. It's always like you've been invited to a party & you'll definitely be on first-name terms with the staff by the time you leave.
Even paying the bill is great - you'll have real trouble working out how you paid so little having eaten so much!!!

Absolutely brilliant! We thought we'd 'lucked out' the first time we went, but no. Superb each & every time since. Staff & service plus the mouthwatering food - that's the recipe for a habit!

I've eaten at Oriental Village so many times they know us by name. It is described as Oriental Tapas so comes in small portions, allowing you to pick your favourites and try things you'd normally not. Although they will make you up a 'mixed starter' you can also choose 6-7 you like yourself and make your own mix up, excellent if you're veggie or like me don't eat fish. The Duck is the best I've tried anywhere because it is not too fatty. They are always happy to provide more of each course, although I've never managed more than 4! The food is excellent, as is the service, atmosphere and value for money. I'd recommend this to couples, families and groups.

My partner and I went here mid-week recently. The attentiveness of the staff was great and the food was lovely. The menu at 14.99 is great value for money at 5 courses and as much as you like within each course. We only had 4 courses and came away full. Not for those on a diet! The choice is great and the waiter recommended a mixed starter (not on the menu) which was lovely. A good choice of fish and vegetarian main courses as well.
The main courses are small, more reminiscent of tapas but you can have as many as you like. We were fine with 3 main dishes between 2.

Ihave eaten at the Oriental Village about 6 times now and each time has been spot on. The service is attentive but not overbearing, the decoration is tasteful, the atmosphere is relaxed and the food is out of theis world. The mixed platter starter (not on the menu just ask) I could sit all night 'chowing down' on that. We took my parents there and my mum, who isn't keen on Chineese food, wants to go back. All in all a fantastic dining experience.
