Our visit was like faulty towers! Its the worst place i have ever been to, we were grateful that they could sit 9 of us at the last minute and now i know why they werent so busy! The starters were boring, the steaks even though we asked for them to be well done were bloody, the spagetti bolagnese was awful, the pasta was awful and two of us didnt even get our meal! Everyone was walking out around us and when we did ask for the bill they charged us service! We paid for what we had eaten and deducted what was unedible and left. The most awful place i have ever been to in my life and it spoilt our weekend. NEVER go there! There are plenty of other places i am amazed they stayed in business for so long.

Everything was perfect: the food, the atmosphere, the friendly staff and the..soundtrack, yes the music was a great selection of the best love songs ever. Very enjoyable. I had a mix of seafood and seabass (cooked at perfection) and my girlfriend had a Quattrostagioni pizza(excellent) The fresh chocolate mousse was puffy, creamy and delicate, not hard and semi-frozen like in most commercial places. The meal was very good and also not expensive at all, even if we ordered a great bottle of Chianti. We'll be definitely back.

This has to be the worst experience I have had eating in Brighton. We were there on Saturday evening having chosen it after the friendly encouragement from the guy outside the restaurant. We quickly ordered drinks and meals - but the worst was yet to come.
The starters were quite pleasant. However, from that point things deteriorated. The house red was "warm" (not room temperature); my water glass was chipped (although changed upon request); the main courses were bland and disappointing as the catalogue of disasters shows:
1) a pizza had to be returned because it had no toppings on it despite what the menu indicated (bits of Bernard Matthews chicken and cold asparagus were simply dropped on the pizza base but it was not returned to the oven for cooking);
2) we noticed other customers sending back pizzas;
3) the seafood risotto included 4 mussels, 2 of which could not be opened;
4) the Italian sausage and lentils had no taste at all - isn't there a place for a little garlic and seasoning?
Half way through the meal we requested a second bottle of house red. This was a different red when it arrived.
We had had enough and did not order desserts, asking for the bill instead. This was the lowest point of the evening. We were presented with a REWRITTEN order being informed that the computer was broken down and an itemised print out could not be produced. The courses and drinks were mixed up in the list and prices did not line up. The bill totalled £80 plus (but in fact had been incorrectly added up). We challenged the bill and a second one came back with a total of £69. We still could not understand how this could be reached because it did not include the second bottle of wine. We asked for a menu and started to calculate our own bill. Then a waiter hurried over with a third bill (a computer print out) which totalled £78. The figure of £69 was quickly crossed out as a mistake. Clearly someone was nervous about our scrutiny of the bill.
We then suspected that different scams seemed to be going on:
1) bottles of supermarket wine were being served, so staff could charge menu prices without affecting the wine stocks;
2) an unprinted bill was presented which, had we paid in cash, did not need to go through the till.
Needless to say we will NOT be returning. Keep well away - there are loads of other places surely where you can have a good evening.

Whilst wandering around Brighton, my partner and I were approached by a man outside Opposition claiming his resturant had good value, authentic Italian food. Great, so we went inside.
The first waiter asked us what table we'd like. Easy, table for two, smoking. Then we moved through the busy downstairs following about 3 different waiters. The Chinese-whisper effect meant that we ended up being seated in a non-smoking area. We didn't realise this until my partner lit a cigarette and was instantly told to put it out. Our table was 3 floors up pushed in a corner. I felt like we were sitting in the back-room.
Initially the atmosphere was quiet and romantic, but then the place got busy and a large family group with young children were seated near us.
It took 10 minutes for someone to take our drinks order, and another 10 for them to arrive. We skipped the starter and had only a main course, and the price seemed very reasonable. Turkey breast with pasta and salad for £6.95. I was really hoping for a traditional Italian dish, but was really disappointed. Being Italain myself, I could see instantly that the Turkey was nothing better than Bernard Matthews and the Spaghetti, Tinned Heinz. My partner's Carbonara was bland and cold. It appeared at least 5 minutes after mine.
The service was slow and confused. We decided to avoid dessert and ask for the bill. Somehow, my £6.95 dish had been charged at over £12. A price that would be highly unreasonable even for a good quality version. It took us another 10 minutes to quibble this, in the middle of the busy, crowded ground floor. And they still wanted us to pay the "voluntary" service charge.
Poor service and un-authentic food. I would definitely not recommend this to anyone who appreciates good Italian meals.

Do not be fooled by the Italian man with the huge mustache urging you in thinking it will be authentic italian. The salad starter was bland with no dressing, not even olive oil. After over an hour our main course came. The pasta was mushy and the sauce was bland, even with a bowl full of parmesan on top. The staff were only
attentive to the big money making tables and neglected us completely. Anyone with any taste should avoid this place.

NEVER EVER GO IN HERE!!!! Shockingly bad service, food and decor. Firstly me and my girlfriend were shunted into a tight gloomy corner by THE WORST waiter I have ever come into contact with, then almost instantaniously commanded to order our food, which did not please me one bit. The food eventually came, cold, and one at a time, i waited another ten minutes after my girlfriends food came for mine. Then to my disbelief my girlfriend found a hair, Yes, A HAIR!!! In her meal. When we complained, the waiter said it wasn't the chefs.... but my girlfriend's own hair!!! I'm sure no one would take this service, neither did we, we walked out never to go there again. The amount of places to go in Brighton is huge. DON'T GO HERE!!!

...It's like the food that your mum makes...simply amazing...
I went here yesterday night and, even if it was very busy, my girlfriend and I have had one of the most excellent mix seafood that you can eat in the town...Very fresh seabass, big portion...too much for one person and for that price...everything served with a delicious mix of fresh vegetables...
The service was excellent as well and, as traditional in a real italian restaurant, the atmosphere was friendly and the staff attentive to all details...
Well done, very well done...
