Sahara restaurant has had a spectacular makeover. The atmosphere in the restaurant really makes you think am i still in Brighton?
I had a lovely meal. And the portion was a healthy size, to acommpany that i had the dessert called Kunafa which was absolutley delicious. And as far as the service goes i thought it was excellent. I would give this restaurant a definite 10/10 as it meets all your expectations of a good restaurant.

I celebrated my sisters birthday in sahara restaurant and can very highly reccommend this new restaurant. The menu contained a wide variety of middle eastern dishes which were served beautifully and tasted excellent. The staff were courtious and charming. The decor very elegant and cosy and to top it all off we brought our own wine and they do not charge corkage. A excellent night out. Highly recommended.

This restaurant is now called Sahara and is said to be under new management. It bills itself as a Lebanese and Iranian restaurant although the name and style is obviously intended to cash in on the fashion for everything Moroccan.
I used to go here when it was called Tehran. The food was good and the staff friendly.
Visiting this time, under its new name Sahara, the food was close to disgusting and the service awful.
We were served the worst couscous I have ever seen or eaten (and we have eaten a lot of couscous, my partner is Moroccan). The other dishes were similarly careless.
Perhaps the Iranian food is still okay, but I wouldn't take the risk.
The service was off-hand. The waitress didn't seem to have any experience but made up for it by carrying herself in a spectacularly haughty manner. Poor girl must be waiting for her emir to come along and lift her up to the status she truly deserves.
It's a shame, because atmosphere-wise it could have quite a nice vibe.
Personally, I'd rather have eaten an honest kebab at the Istanbul kebab house opposite, which has never been too bad actually.
