Just try the Healthy Duck.

It's worth visiting just for that. Always outstanding.

This is my favourite restaurant in Brighton and Hove. I go a few times a month and have become somewhat familiar to the staff there. The food is just to die for, the "Starter for Two" is out of this world; very tasty and excellent value for money.

My friends and I consistently go back and have never been disappointed.

I went to Mai Ped Ped on a Thursday at 7pm. I found the table we were on to be too near the door and we were disturbed with people coming in and out, and the cold!! The food was ok, below average. One dish i could not eat-duck in ginger and plum, the thai red curry was thick and gloopy and the other dishes were lacking taste. I was disappointed as i had heard such good reviews. Their was one very friendly waitress, one totally miserable, both were not very attentive and we had to ask for everything, nothing was offered eg: drinks. I would not go back here.

We ate at Mai Ped last Saturday evening. It was quite early and we had no idea what to eat so entered this neat little restaurant.

We had a really delicious meal. The starters arrived within minutes of taking our order, were hot and very tasty indeed.

The main courses were wonderful. I'd ordered one of the dishes which had chillies in and it was full of flavour, aromatic and zingy, but not too hot.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful and friendly and advised us of what the dishes were and ingredients that we didn't recognise.

As the evening wore on, the restaurant became very full and the atmosphere was buzzy and fun.

I would certainly recommend Mai Ped to anyone who loves Thai food.

I would certainly eat here again and recommend it to others.

Every time I've been it's been fantastic.

For a little while about a year and a half ago, maybe two years the food got a tad too salty, but they have recently changes chef again and it's superb.

I highly recommend the red duck curry! Beautiful.

Not too expensive, either.

Could eat there once a week! :)

I think this is the best thai food in Brighton, hands down. The food is amazing every time, the staff are nice and the feel of the place is great. It's not as expensive as some of the other places either. I'd definitely recommend this place.

My partner and I live locally and go to Mai Ped at least once a month for a Saturday lunch. The food is absolutely divine and the staff very friendly. Some of the noodle dishes can be a bit oily but I usually go for a stir fry or a green curry and have never ever been disappointed. The food is ready in a flash and it's very reasonnably priced. Would really recommend this place.

We found this Thai Place a couple of years ago, by chance, before a concert. My husband and I have both lived in and visited Asia on numerous occasions and are rather picky on pur Asian restaurants, We had such good food, that it now has become a traditio to eat there each time we have a concert or a theater outing. Our experience has always been wonderful, so wonderful that sometimes we are wondering whether we are looking forward more to the food than the concert.

I have dinner here on this Tuesday night, The food was fantastic and the service was brillion. My girlfriend had chicken green curry and egg noodle with vegetable. She very enjoy and we have good time together there. I had Mai Ped squid which is the most delicious Thai dish I have ever in Brighton. It very tasty, a little bit spicy but in nicely way.

I agree with the other comment about the tight table but the service was great, staffs there are very friendly and prompt to serve. The most important thing is food is very nice. I would recommend this place to person who like Thai food and small but lovely place.

Went to this place on a Sunday afternoon in October 2009. Had wonderful food and nice service for very cheap price. Had the two-course lunch menu plus a garlic squid from the tapas selection.

Vegetable tempura and green curry were both lovely, my friend's Pad Thai maybe not quite as good. Squid was a very small portion, but lovely taste. Overall, we were really impressed and the very low price was an extra bonus.

Maybe this place is luck of the draw with who's cooking.
