Cold starter, corked wine, forgettable, chewy steak....well done doesnt mean it should be like shoe leather.

Went there based on the reviews here, wouldn't bother again. Was almost totally dead on a friday nite, should have been a clue!

Visited this restaurant May 2008 after reading the reviews on this site.

Went as part of a Stag Party, there was 9 of us and they had no problem accommodating us.

Even though we were 30 minutes late the staff were very welcoming and helpful.

The food was exceptionally good, lots of it and very reasonably priced.

Would definately recommend it.

Visited on 18th March 2008 for the first time after reading the reviews.

They all hold true, the food was excellent all cooked the way we liked it. The deserts were excellent and the Bannoffie pie is a must, its sensational.

The staff were great, quick, polite, helpful, friendly, but not in your face in a TGI's sort of way. The food was good value lightly less than a steak at a beefeater and we know thats nothing to rave about, unlike the Taurus.

One review mentions that the Taurus isnt the best looking place, this may be true but is you wanted cutting edge contemporary styling get a packed lunch and go to MFI. If you want the best steak dinner you have had in ages go here.

Sadly we live 4 hours away but we will be back.... one day...

My husband and I have been going to the Taurus Steakhouse for many years now. We ate there again last night. They consistently provide a fantastic steak meal.

My partner and i celebrated our valentines day at this wonderful restaurant. The restaurant are full of candles and flowers. Eventhough it was very busy that night, the staffs are very attentive and friendly. The steak cooked just the way i want it, and the home made banoffe pie are amazing! I will surely go back there again.

Our family had the pleasure of dining here last summer and enjoyed the excellent prawn and steak dishes, and the best banoffee pie ever. The staff were all warm and friendly, especially Cassie, who went out of her way to help us with our 7 month old daughter.

We are going back to Brighton in April and will make sure we eat there every night of our stay.

The interior could do with some modernisation, but cannot faulter the food. The steaks were fantastic, the service was pretty good too, especially a lady called Cassy who was extremely helpful. The banoffee pie was out of this world, and the atmosphere was very laid back. I also heard that the owner of this restaurant is the son of the founder of the famous China Garden which is my favourite restaurant...now they're family is taking money from me from two places...will definitely be back again : )

Decent food, been there a few times. Good meat, if a little smothered in sauce. Ok wine selection, good choice of mains but could do with sorting out their dessert menu.
