I had a pasta, prawn and chilli dish, and I love cooking this one at home. I was not sure about having this dish due to the fact that I had this dish at Jamie Olivers restaurant and was a little disappointed. Any way I have to say Zizzi , This dish had a kick to it and tasted Delicious! Sorry Jamie but it was better than yours!

We had a table of four booked at 8 Oclock, starters OK but the brushetta is a flat pizza base served as a special...avoid as not good.We had this as a starter with a garlic braed but had no side plates as you are expected to dish up from the platter and use yoyr napkins. Mains OK,childrens portions good but pizzas dry and no more than acceptable.Go for the calzone, much better quality.Waitress very attentive and looked after us well.

Four of us ate at Zizzi's last night after not wanting to wait 2 hours to get into Jamies. After fitting us in to a very busy restaurant we had drinks with bread and olives which was very nice indeed. We then waited an eternity for our food to appear. Several drinks later it did, but was not worth the wait in the stuffy upstairs area with a constant deafening clatter of cutlery being tipped in the drawers by our side.

I ordered the risotto which was very average and slightly raw. Our friends had a calzone carne piccante and a Fiorentina pizza. the calzone was apparently nice, but the pizza was very dry and hard on the bottom. My girlfriend fared the worse, she had the pollo prosciutto. This was inedible. The chicken was unappetising, extremely salty and potatoes were shrivelled up.

The staff kindly offered to change it and not wanting to wait an eternity she opted for the safe option of the bruschetta. alas this was not a safe option, the bread was chewy, (not a ciabatta) and soaked in oil. again it was inedible.

To give the waitresses credit they tried their best, they could not help the quality of the food.

Verdict: should have waited for Jamie's.
