Piccolo Restaurant

I was disgusted with the poor food and no disabled facilities. I was very unhappy because my child has disabillates and has a wheel chair but could not enjoy her meal because when she needed the toilet it took her 20 minutes to get there. The staff were very friendly especially the manager, oh la la !

My partner and I visit Piccolo's regularly. We've tried most things on the menu and are never disappointed with the food. The butter-fish steak is particularly good. The veal is amazing. The service is fantastic and regulars get a free starter and 10% off your bill. Prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant

Went to Piccolo's on Saturday 9 Feb and had the set menu at £6.50. I had prawn cocktail starter followed by Al tonno with penne. Both dishes were of generous size and tasty. My daughter (a pizza buff) had a garlic bread with cheese topping starter followed by an american pepperoni pizza which she considered to be the best pizza she had ever eaten! The staff were rushed off their feet as the restaurant was full and although noisy, the atmosphere was buzzy. Only criticism is the soft drink I'd ordered, a ginger ale at £1.20, which arrived flat (or watered down) with a "chip" of ice. Definitely worth a visit for the excellent value food, though.

Food very poor value for money, staff rude, in the middle of the meal manager had a massive row with a traffic warden in the street, was shouting and swearing. would never go again

Had lunch here last Saturday (25/07/2007)
It was OK. But...my partner said is Carbonara tasted "off" and the waitress had no idea what a white wine sprizter was and basically brought us a glass of wine with a dash of soda in and half an ice cube when we expected a long cool drink.
Other than that it was OK and you get to people watch passers by

My daughter has just returned from aday out and ate here - she said that the food was superb - too much for her to finish and £6 for 3 courses - you can't really go wrong.

I was REALLY put off this place today! Brighton has indeed so many better Italian restaurants. I went there for lunch with my mum and had the most abysmal service from the manager! He was so rude I have never come across anybody like him. The food was nice. But his customer service was far from it! To the point that I would be more than willing to file a more formal complaint.

went for a set lunch special which is £6 and you have a choice of a selection of starters and any pasta or pizza off the menu. I had the Piccolo special Pasta and it was lovely. The atmosphere was good, the service excellent and food lovely. Probably the best lunch ive had in Brighton and amazing value.

I agree with everything people have said, Piccolo is a great place to eat, however sometimes the specials are a bit lackluster, so watch out for that!
