This is a good review, I promise, so long as you follow a few rules:
Just go for the pizza and bottled beer; really healthy portions that come hot and fast with fabulous toppings at an unbelievable price.
Do not order vino of any description or you'll need a sponsored event to cover the bill; do not experiment with what you would normally hope to be a traditional pasta dish made with fresh, local ingredients or you'll taste the damage processed food can do to your body; do not pick up pudding and pass go, however appetizing it appears in the glass case on the walk in, or you'll end up staying too long - and if this happens? If you outstay my prescribed 30 minute round trip, you'll soon feel how uncomfortable the chairs are (a bid to get you in and out quick, you'll leave with eye strain from the hospital style lighting that makes certain you won't feel cosy enough to hover over a (surprisingly good cup of) coffee longer than Pablo's wants you too, and you'll revisit the predictable soundtrack loop more often than your personal aural endurance will allow before you want to cry. Top tip: be more selfish than the staff who ignore you when you're ready to order but clear the table while you have a fork still in your mouth (in a bid to usher you out now they have reason to get at your wallet for that service charge already added to your bill), who get complicated orders wrong (when you ask for something other than pizza), and, who really don't give a toss that you're the customer and they're being paid to be nice to you (I suspect they're actually being paid to 'ship 'em in and ship 'em out).
Just go for the pizza and bottled beer; really healthy portions that come hot and fast with great toppings at an unbelievable price.
Then go and enjoy the rest of your night else where with the knowledge you've had a great feed for next to nothing! Follow the rules and you'll leave singing and dancing down Ship Street.
[my 9 rating for food is based on the pizza!]

Food in the Pablo’s was just like in MD. All made of ......, I don't know what was that put in lasagne dishes I have no idea, It was too much of some white terrible souse, or maybe it was not souse, maybe something else??
Pizza is a different story !!
Toping was good enough, but pizza base, seams like came from coal mine, no, it was not burned, the bottom was dirty of burned oil. I think they make pizzas in dirty frying pans.
Waiter was really good guy.

It does exactly what it says on the tin. Food is good, prices low and there is no fuss. Great for a mid week bite to eat. The only problem is you feel a little pushed out when your just relaxing after your meal and finishing your wine.

I had lunch here yesterday and I have to say....not very good. The plate arrived, the presentation of the food bland and uninspired (an orange slice or a sprig of parsley wouldn't have been much to add!). The potatoes were undercooked and the side of sausage I ordered was cold. By the time our indifferent waiter brought the butter we requested for our toast, I was nearly done with the meal. Great coffee, I'll give them that, but I won't be returning anytime soon. Pity, great location, but without the food to back it up, what's the point?

At first impressions Pablo's has all the warmth of other Italian Restaurants. The Staff are welcoming and very accommodating.
A shock ensues when you look at the wine list, £11.99 for a bottle of House Wine and £14.99 for any other is more in keeping with higher grade establishments. A greater shock ensues when you pay £3.95 for a Stella and only a 33cl bottle arrives. The meal was ok but nothing I would write home about, I have had better and propably will again. An Italian Restaurant that runs out of bread when you're faced with a plate of Olives as a starter, oozing oils and juices?
The warmth dissapears once you ask for the bill, a grey haired pan-faced waiter continually asks you if you want the bill and if he can take your glasses, even though you have just spent £70 (SERVICE CHARGE INCLUDED!)until you get to feeling like an unwanted infection! Cheapand chearful throw them out get someone else in!
