Most disappointing dinner out for a long time. Service fine but no atmosphere whatsoever, very bland food and outrageous prices- nearly 50 quid for 2 curries, 1 rice, 1 naan, 1 sag aloo, 1 pint and a coke. No wonder the place was nearly empty! If there was another curry-house in the marina the place wouldn't stand a chance, the signature king prawn dish was a joke. Wouldn't recommend to anyone unless they want to walk out feeling ripped off with a bland taste in their mouth!

Excellent food and good service, the previous reviews were fully justified especially the recommendation of the chicken zhafrani.

A group of us went here last night and it was very good. The service was fine without being over attentive. The food was excellent. i tried a dish i've never had before and i would recommend it - Chicken Zafrani.
If you can block your eyes whilst you walk through the truly dreadful setting (the Brighton Marina) and keep them shielded as you walk in the restaurant past the display of nasty flat screen televisions you will be rewarded with pleasantly good food.

We love this place. Great atmosphere, always busy (its essential to book Saturday nights), and excellent food.

Personally, i find Memories of india one of the best places for a curry ive been too. Excellent food and service with great surroundings. Prices are a bit more than other places but not OTT. A great meal for any curry fan

DOn't like the atmosphere at all and the food is just ok. Too pricey for what it is.

I was really disappointed in the food here. I knew that it wouldn't be grat as this is clearly a 'profit is the most important' style restaurant.
The service was great and the waiters/waitresses were very friendly and helpful.
However, the food was bland and clearly prepared and left in a freezer somewhere.
I had a chicken tikka masala which tasted of yoghurt and that was it. My boyfriend had a chicken vindallo which was 'hot but tasteless'. Overall ery disappointing. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Memories of India at the Marina, has a perfect mix of modern & classic standard & regional dishes, together with great surroundings to give a very 21st Century Indian dining experience. Eat while you watch the latest Bollywood blockbuster on the plasma screens or just watch the passing traffic on the road through the floor to ceiling smoked glass windows.
I would give you a rundown of the comprehensive menu (if I could remember it, which isn’t normal after a few ice cold Cobra’s..ha-ha), but I will just recommend two dishes for meat lovers which I have rarely come across in other Indian eateries, Chicken Zafrani (WOW), & Spring Lamb Padina (very good) & don’t you dare leave without a Garlic Nan, the garlic pops in your mouth like small popcorn..superb.
I have visited the sub-continent on a couple of occasions (last week I was in Goa) & haven’t experienced anything of this quality either there or in fact in London, where I am originally from. If there is better Indian food served anywhere on the planet, I, we (partner, friends, and other curry connoisseurs) are yet to find it!! 5++++ stars! Try it if you don’t believe me!

the worst restaraunt i have ever been to
The food was reasonable the service apalling.
I would strongly advise anyone to avoid this establishment.
The serving staff were slow disinterested and incompetent.
We waited two and a half hours for main courses.
Two members of our party had curry spilt on their clothes and and the order was totally incorrect when it arrived.
The most ridculous event was when a glas of coke was ordered on repeated occasions and we ended up with five glasses half an hour later.
Truly a farcical experience and not like any memoris of India that I have.I am amazed this company has the cheek to continue trading.
